I am not sure. Possibly. It might be a little while though, and it really isn't the right size for a 2001 anyway.

Are you considering selling that trailer? I have an '82 Ski Nautique 2001 that is sitting on the original Correct Craft trailer. It was refurbished back in '95, and it's in pretty rough shape. Debating on rebuilding this trailer or buying a new trailer from Ram-Lin.

No, not yet. My wife won't drive it until the dash is installed. Something about wanting to know how fast she's going or something...

Have you got a chance to ski behind it yet?

Here's a shot from today. I am deleting the cup holders on the engine box, but I am still waiting for the SeaDek pieces that will cover the holes up. Also still waiting on the dash to come back from Nautique.

It wasn't bad at all. I already had the upholstery piece off of that area, so it was just four more bolts to drop the throttle mechanism down. Then you just switch the cables over and reinstall. Took about 30 minutes, plus the time to mount the upholstered piece around the throttle arm.

Mine was just worn out. It has over 1,900 hours of use, most on a private ski lake, meaning there was lots of throttle action over the years. Now it has a new throttle cable, new throttle mechanism, and even a new throttle connection at the engine. It is smooth as can be now.

Amazing job! You have inspired me to buff my 05 SN and put new decals on!

No new pictures, but I did replace the Steering Wheel Tilt Mechanism today. That got rid of the remaining slop in the wheel. It feels brand new now. I still have the old steering wheel on there, but I hope Nautique will be sending a new one over when they send back my dash. If they don't, I'll have to buy a new one. The current steering wheel is by far the worst part on this boat now!

I also replaced the entire Teleflex Throttle Control Mechanism today. Now it feels brand new too.

I am putting it back in the water for some additional testing tomorrow.

Well, timing was adjusted by PCM at their factory when they freshened up the engine. They also put in new plugs, cap, rotor, wires, water pump & impeller, alternator, etc. when they did their work.

Throttle, shift and steering cables are all new. They were all adjusted on land before the water test, and worked fine today. Rudder was never out, and it doesn't have a trim tab because they didn't use them in 1998.

Everything seemed pretty good! Some carb tuning may still be beneficial though.

To clarify....."After running it" did you find that you need to make any of the above adjustments.

    Jeff,

curious us if you had to fine tune the timing, tweak any of the rigging like the throttle/shifter cables, steering cable, rudder trim tab, after tearing it all apart and putting it back together? Enjoyed that video, motor sounds healthy.

Yep, I agree. I cancelled the order for the black replacement pieces today.

Sweet! I think the Seadek color is great. I wouldn't go with black.
