Correct me if I'm wrong....but to answer SoCals question above. ....haven't the "new" shafts been failing already on some 17s and ALL the 18s??? When did the new shaft start being put on as replacement. I think we've gone way past we've got a bigger issue......lol

I've heard of at least 1 boat that's had multiple failures which is to be expected when they replace a faulty shaft with the exact same one. I’d be curious to know exactly when the “new” shafts started to get shipped out as replacements and also when they started getting installed on new boats. Then you'd at least be able to tell if there was a reduced rate of failure. I’d also like to know what's really different with the new shafts. All they told me was that they were being bought from a new manufacturer with tighter tolerances. Seemed like a predetermined response. Not really the answer I was looking for, but that's all I was getting. Hopefully Jeff can get us some better answers.

If they will entertain it I would love to see a Q&A like they used to do but not centered around the prop issue only. Maybe even two separate items. A statement on the prop and Q&A

Let me see if I can get a response from them about this issue. I am not sure that this warrants a full interview.

I'd be happy if they could just answer one question and do it on the record.
