I own a G21 and have always had spray into the wind. I can't recall anyone on here ever say the G21 didn't have any or as much spray. Man...I wish I was feeling that spray about now coming over my cubicle.....LOL
Haha ya on super hot days its kinda refreshing when its the light wind mist spray.lol I still completely disagree the engineers made any attempt to avoid spray on the 21, its the exact same hull as 13-15 23/25 its just shorter. ive stood beside 21,23,25 all right beside each other, theres no difference. in 16+ they made a direct attempt to fix this issue and its clearly noticeable in the front bow area where they have extended the keel and created a bump out. The 13-15 and the current 21 have no keel running to the tip of the boat. this is the problem.

Totally off topic but now that the 19 has been released who cares!! haha

Lets hope for better advances in 2020 im betting the farm on a NEW hull design!

Yeah Josh...for sure.....that 21 hull looked exactly the same as the 23 & 25 in pictures and in person. I think is was part marketing gimmick and a little fib about the whole G21 was designed from the start to reduce the spray. Put a 2014 G23 next to a G21 and I bet you are correct. Anyway....Yeah...excited about the 19...but for me...I'm on the 5 year plan. I had a 2000 Super Air, 2005 226 Air, 2010 226 Air....and my current 2015 G21. So...Yeah....I will be gunning for a 2020 G23 even if the tower flashes in 20 LED colors......LOL

I’m having a hard time justifying the 160-170ish price tags if the 2019s. I’m in the market and looking hard. I could pay the $160k.

        BUT:

we all know there is no performance advantages over a 2014 2:1 450 vs a 2019 450. All cosmetic.

qaqc issues still run rampant. Broken shafts, Perkos and O2 sensors. Disparate levels of “5yrs Nation wide warranty” these boats are tied with a short leash to dealers for life support.

5 year warranty means less and less to me. If you move often like I do, you will end up with refused or shoddy warranty and service because “you didn’t buy yer boat here”

other than bells and whistles.... buy a clean 2014 for $95k, pay $400 for a premium detail, allocate $3k for the 2 seats that need replaced, a new Bimini and new cover.

and guys like me that move often end up with the same odds of good/bad service from dealers.... maybe even better because as an older 2014 it’s less salt in the wound.

        what am I missing?

You forgot the bad drive belt tensioners...At the very least they should have - like other mfgrs are doing - thrown in another pump into each ballast bag to halve the fill time.

Nyryan.....you're not missing anything. You made some great points It's just this: Great economy right now, and simply, people with crap loads of money don't want someone else's old boat....they want new to them in every aspect of their purchases.

              My 19 has arrived!

              Here are my initial observations:

              1. Windshield is awesome looking, super clean. The pass through does not lock when opened but sits on a rubber pad. Underway, wind was enough to keep it down but you’d need to jimmy rig a simple lock mechanism if you wanted to keep “locked open”. That shouldn’t be difficult or expensive.

              2. Tower folding down is simple. It goes slow but that’s probably a safety feature.

              3. Tower base is obviously big. It obstructs the side view of both port and starboard observers seats but also blocks spray.

              4. Port seat heater button is now in glove box. Must be related to tower.

              5. After 2 hours my prop shaft has not yet broken.

                  #5 FTW!!! Made my day!

Can you manually raise and lower the tower?

                  Thanks.

Sweet 19. Just watched the vid of the tower going up with the bimini. Looks OK. But did anyone else notice after he locked the bimini somehow....it didn't appear to be as strong as the current one?? Maybe i'm wrong...but is it missing some forward support?? Yes....Power Tower is pretty slow. Window looks pretty sweet....but...are you saying the window could "bounce" in the open position when the wind is not holding it? Why should we have to "Jimmy Rig" anything on this....just another dumb oversight by Nautique...IF...the window bounces when open. My current window does not bounce....even if it is not fully locked into the little lock mechanism. Why not put the little window lock on the new window???? I drive with my window open 90% of the time....hot here in Texas.

Any idea when the Nautique website will be updated with the new details?

I'm really kicking around that exact question today!!!! My 2014 is basically loaded with approx. 85 hours on it an is in excellent condition - so do I sell for really good money and spend 50 to 60K more for basically the same boat just with a new warranty.

The only thing that would make this more difficult is if my wife could talk me into switching into the GS22 or 24.

Unless you want to waterski, switching to a GS boat would be a serious downgrade in surf/wake capability IMO.

Re forward support. He didn't drop and connect the 2 side support rods/stays. The chrome rod that you can see on the side at the back of the bimini.
