Re forward support. He didn't drop and connect the 2 side support rods/stays. The chrome rod that you can see on the side at the back of the bimini.
Support is just like in 18 but now has a little easier mechanism to unlock without pulling a pin, you just push hard to unlock and then pull it out to fold side flaps.
Sweet 19. Just watched the vid of the tower going up with the bimini. Looks OK. But did anyone else notice after he locked the bimini somehow....it didn't appear to be as strong as the current one?? Maybe i'm wrong...but is it missing some forward support?? Yes....Power Tower is pretty slow. Window looks pretty sweet....but...are you saying the window could "bounce" in the open position when the wind is not holding it? Why should we have to "Jimmy Rig" anything on this....just another dumb oversight by Nautique...IF...the window bounces when open. My current window does not bounce....even if it is not fully locked into the little lock mechanism. Why not put the little window lock on the new window???? I drive with my window open 90% of the time....hot here in Texas.
I didn’t notice any bounce but since it isn’t locked, I’m guessing it could be possible. My dealer was thinking they might be responding to some states where u can’t walk around while underway but I have no idea. I wish it had a lock but it isn’t a big concern to me. Maybe I’m just too easy going!
I hear ya CCool.....I won't sweat it...unless it ends up bouncing...LOL...then I'll be like..."where's the lock?"....LOL. I don't think it should be a problem...like you say the wind keeps it down for the most part. As for the boat...love the colors. Like how you gave it the fade look with the decal. Awesome.

Thanks man, I’m pumped at how it turned out...glad the obsessing is over and it’s done.
Today when we were blasting thru some chop I noticed it bouncing a tad...it sits on two thick rubber pads but I think I’m gonna create a lil rubber piece to hold it in place...maybe they fix that in later 19 builds.
Question, how is the wind while trailering at 70mph not going to rip that Bimini apart when it’s in that janky stowed position?
looks to me like the only way you’re going to be able to trailer with tower folded is with the cover on.
and for guys that keep their boat more than one season and 65hrs that’s a huge No Go = gel chaffe and all sorts of other problems.
You’ll be fine without cover. You can lock the Bimini in the down position and in the “up” position so it wouldn’t be beat up from jostling around...I’d just lock it, throw the boot on it and you’d be good...it’s exactly the same as guys who tow with tower up now except if you close your window then it’s likely less wind coming against it and I’d argue it’s less stress on Bimini.
After checking out a 19 in person I can say that the windshield really looks terrible open. It is just a bad design. I ride with mine open 99% of the time so having a windshield that lays flat and locks open is important to me. The tower base is big but not terrible. Also, the tower base and tow point are more aft than previous years.

Have you attempted to fold/raise the tower manually yet? Is it even possible? That seems to be the #1 question from potential buyers.

After checking out my first 2019 in person this weekend I have to say its hit and miss. Tower bases are huge and break up the lines of the boat. New windshield looks awesome closed but also I can see it being a big problem with people that like to drive with it open. Number one issue with the power tower is the lowering is done only from the drivers seat so if lowering the tower to put the cover on while in the water it makes it so you have to climb over the tower to get out of the boat and out the cover on which is a huge pain. Could be solved by putting a secondary tower control on the stern.
Regarding this picture it looks like a secondary exhaust port of some kind, this is not on the 2018 boats and connects right to the exhaust hose on the 2019. Any ideas?

Yes it is used when stern thruster is in operations vs surf pipe . Minimizes exhaust bubbles around thrusters so it performs more effcient
No I haven’t yet. I’ll play with it this weekend after I check the instruction manual

Thanks. I called Nautique corporate and nobody knows the answer. Sales has no idea, and marketing said they would ask and get back to me... that was last week. I also asked for a 2019 manual pdf...

We are currently test driving a G23, it was an 2018 model, but I asked him about the 2019 tower and if there is a manual way, they told me that there is, it is located inside the base, and is a manual winding type of system.
That's what I have been told, but I wasn't on a 2019 and able to have a look at it
I sure wish the powered tower was an option. After three G23s I have never had a need to lower the tower. Would love to save the money on my next G.
It isn't happening. I've confirmed with my dealer that all of the G boats will come with the power-tower as standard equipment. All of the dealers begged Nautique to make it an option but it was apparently not cost effective to do that.
Does anyone know when the 2019 website will be updated? I not talking about "Design your Nautique" section but actual 2019 pictures and updated features specific to 2019 models.
