Surfnjosh......I raise my tower every time I take it out of the garage....and every time I put it back in. About 10 times a summer. Pain in the ***.....yes...but not everyone has a 15 foot garage. Do I need a power tower? No....will I use it on my next boat (2020 G23).... Yep....cause I won't have a choice...lol. Low garage=you should see my trade ins.

is the power tower only on the G boats? I have a build sheet for the GS series and I don't see the power tower listed or a cover choice for the tower down

Well they did find a way to completely overlook a major bow spray issue from 2013-15 and somehow have gotten away with it still do this day on the G21...… just sayin

That's not accurate about the G21. The G21 didn't get a hull update in 2016 because it already had the hull designed to reduce spray, which the G23 and G25 were missing. Remember, the G21 came out after the G23 and G25 had already been out for a couple of years, and they used the knowledge they gained from those early G-series boats to reduce the bow spray on the G21. In 2016, they updated the hull of the G23 and G25 to take advantage of the same technology already in use on the G21.

Then where is the very obvious looking bumpout that the 16+ G23/25 have on the G21 hull? cause the 21 still looks flat to me...….

The front of the hull may not look the same, but it didn't need any tweaking to reduce the spray. I have discussed this with Nautique's engineers because I had the same questions as you. Believe what you want though.

I would not say the G21 does not need a fix for the spray issue as the spray issue is one thing I dislike about our 17 G21, whatever was done in 16 did not fix the issue, it may have improved it but it is still there.

shanesj...I hope you understood what Jeff said above....the G21 has had the SAME hull since it's inception in 2014. It did NOT have a hull change in 2016...only the G23 and G25. It has never had a hull change in the 5 years it's been out.

Getting off topic, but define spray issue. We have the updated G23 hull and if you are heading into a stiff breeze or more, you absolutely get spray. The G's have a little more wind driven spray than some boats we have been on, but no worse than many others. In little wind or downwind, no spray.

Got ya Shane...but I only said what I said because you stated above "Whatever was done in 16 did not fix the issue".....NOTHING was done in 16 (to the 21) and just wanted to make that clear.

And Blueroom.....the simple answer to this is: early G owners - 23 and 25.... complained about a lot of spray coming over the front when surfing into the wind. Nautique re-designed the front of the 23 and 25 in 2016 to try and "reduce" some of this spray...but it cannot be eliminated completely. Basically....ANY brand of wake boat, I would think.....weighted down with 3000+ pounds of ballast MIGHT produce some spray coming into the boat surfing into the wind. No wind, and downwind you are Gold.

Yea. And you still cannot filter the designed boats in the Community by model. You get all of them. There used to be a "filter by model" button a couple of years ago.

Also it's fun to go back through this thread and see all the things that came "from a very reliable source" that are not on the "New for 2019" list....

I can't speak directly about 16+ but the 13-15 have a bigger spray issue. It's brutal surfing in to a headwind. And that's almost any headwind it doesn't take much at all. Downwind or perfectly calm there's nothing but 10km/he (note that's km lol) it's aweful and it's not an every boat thing my 230 previous 210s no boat I've ever been in was anything like this. I LOVE nautique and wouldn't want anything else . I also love everything else about my G but that issue is there and too me it's a HUGE flaw. I now do my best to avoid surfing in a head wind to nor get aggravated. Believe what you will the G21 most definitely still has bow spray issues!! Fella on my lake has one and he needs windshield wipers just like me!! Haha.

Good points Josh....but I don't believe anyone on here ever said the G21 didn't have bow spray issues. It's always been there....more of the point was that they tried to modify the 23 and 25 to be "more like" the 21....but "more like" still meant spray. I own a G21 and have always had spray into the wind. I can't recall anyone on here ever say the G21 didn't have any or as much spray. Man...I wish I was feeling that spray about now coming over my cubicle.....LOL
