Thanks for the info. That is a great solution to cavitation.

It was updated some time last week. DYN is now covering 2019 boats.

I went to the dealer yesterday out of curiosity from your post... WHAT IN THE WIDE WORLD OF SPORTS is a goin’’ on here?! The new windshield is attractive, but the center walkthrough, while open, is about as “jacked up” a set up as I’ve seen... Mark my words, “one year”, no more. That must be addressed. I won’t say what dealer I was at-(but if you look at my location, you could narrow it to ~3 possibilities)...the dealer too noted the flawed design when open, and voiced such earlier this summer at dealer meetings.

Somebody earlier said that they were “easygoing” I think it was, and that this wouldn’t bother them. Shoot, I own a 2017, and the 2019 windshield center section bothers me enough that I woke up in the middle of the night just to post this...Ray Charles, (RIP) could see that we have a problem here...

EXACTLY !!! Why does Nautique keep moving "backwards" on items of the boat that should be "forwards"......and better. Better looking...better design...better dependability....and also....better attention to detail. Example....You have a cool looking window when closed....BUT...no one on the design team looked at it when it was open???? Shoot...I might just take the whole dame center window off if it looks like crap in person.

Everyone I know runs with the window open, except on cold days. I can see it now... 2020 option: removable center window $795

I stopped by the dealer today to finalize the sale of our current boat and got to talking about the 19 G windshield. I was told that Nautique is already working on a update that will allow the windshield to be locked in the open position when underway. I was told they are staying with the overall design, just an update. They made it sound like it would be covered by warranty when it releases.

Am I the only that thinks a rear folding tower is a bad idea? No fail safe mechanism? Forward folding towers would never fail while under load, at least how it was configured.

Been gone a couple days. Was going to post some thoughts on the window design. : )

The new windshield looks REALLY good and it is a huge upgrade for the look of the boat. But playing with it a little it sure seems like it is going to smack glass to glass when bouncing around with the window open. Wasn't hard to get it to do it by hand, with much less force than you would get going over some rollers at speed. Would be nervous about a broken window.

As others have expressed, our normal mode is window open. We boat where it is hot and dry, and you have air flowing through to keep people cool. The only time the window is closed is trailering, rolling early/late or on the rare cooler day.

They mentioned possibly replacing the center section, glass and all. Just have to wait and see. At this point it’s all just talk.

I can confirm that the window does bounce a bit when going over rollers. Nautique does need to offer a locked open feature as we’ve just been locking it shut to be safe when going fast over rough water. Look is on point though!

As for tower...their is a lock much like the current tower that holds it in place on both sides so I don’t think the rear folding is bad versus forward folding but there doesn’t appear to be a manual way to raise or lower the tower which is a bummer. I read through the tower section in the manual last night (albeit in a hurry) and there was no mention there either.

I can say that the tower rear folding does block your rear lockers which is a pain if you realize you left something in them and you’ve already folded the tower down and have your cover halfway on, as I did last night. I like the tower down cover for the element of keeping my bimini, tower and speakers out of the sun but it’s a bit tricky to pull the cover over everything with the tower and bimini right in your way. I’m getting used to it but I can imagine some folks will just go with tower up cover and not mess with it.

All in all, I love my ‘19 but there’s definitely nothing you current G owners can’t live without on it. Save your money and enjoy whatever you’ve got!

CCool, when the tower is folded down and bimini stored, is it hard to climb over the tower to get cover on and exit the boat and such? Would you happen to know how tall tower is when it's folded for getting underneath garage door?
