Yeah, this happens with my boat too and I love it. When the new ones start hitting the lakes, everyone who doesn't have a Nautique will be completely in awe.

About the pictures on the internet - they may or may not actually be the boat. We will know tonight! Thanks Jeff for posting the REAL pictures in realtime - I will be here looking!

Come on haters. I know haters gonna hate... but we need to see this boat perform before passing judgment or even giving opinions. Does it have a shape that resembles certain aspects of various parts of the hull of other manufacturers? Yes. Does that mean it is not revolutionary? Not necessarily. Until we see it perform, we have no idea. Sometimes the slightest tweak can make the difference between ordinary and genius. Perhaps a Moomba nose, Tige rear, and Supra freeboard are the key. Would you want Nautique not to make a boat using those basic shapes if their combination really does provide a superior wake simply because they look like elements of other manufacturers?

Ultimately, if the boat does not perform as promised, then the hype CC has created will backfire. If it performs up to the hype, CC will have another winner on its hands (like the 200 series).

No, they have never gone backwards. They have never blatently copied another brands style either. This boat clearly has done that. I want to see it in person before I pass judgement, but the pics I have seen don't overly impress, nor do I consider it revolutionary. Its a Nautique, but to me they have completely shifted from the concepts and unique approach that got them this far.

So much for keeping the cat in the bag!! I stumbled across some leaked pictures last night and my first response was - well - yuck. This was not the "look" of a boat that I would have expected Nautique to build. Like many others, I'm not a pro rider so having the pro rider wake is not my first concern. That said, having a great surf wake without tons of extra ballast would be a nice feature. Of course, the surf wake has not been mentioned in any of the videos, so it is a variable I will be waiting to see for myself.

Waking up this morning and clicking on the link above, I felt differently about the boat. It grew on me a little overnight, and I'll reserve judgement until I have the opportunity to see one in person. It is going to take some getting used to, that much is for sure. Looking back on several threads here when the FCT3 came out, there was mass hysteria, but both Nautiques I've owned have that tower and I love it. Put a Z5 on the G23 and I bet it looks even better.

For me the good part is my 2012 team ed. 230 is at my dealer ready for me to pickup any day -- and with the look of the new G23 and that "snub nose" or whatever you want to call it, I'm not a bit upset at having ordered a new 230 --- "The perfect wake" is not of huge concern to me, I buy based more on looks, design and functionality....and based on the "look" of the G23 -- I will definitely Not be buying it.

Although I obviously havent seen it in person yet - but as they say, first impressions are everything...
