I don't think Nautique missed the mark with the retail buyer considering how they are selling. Orders were out to late September last time I checked. They will sell as many as they can make is my guess.

I hope Nautique keeps enough focus, and Im sure they will, on the retail buyer like many/most of us...by this I mean the features and gadgets we need on these boats for our weekend warrioring...because at the end of the day, while the wake may be revolutionary for the Pro Riders and the sport, and thats great as they need and deserve it, but if the retail buyer isnt in love with the G23 or the G25 then nothing else matters, as the retail buyer is ultimatley the profit center for the company...

I was such a critic of the snub nose when I first saw it -- darn thing is starting to grow on me !! Cant wait to see and experience it in person.

I read that the reason for adding the ladder to this boat was because they increased the height of the platform off the water due to increased factory ballast. Can anyone comment on how high off the water the platform is without ballast full? Compared to a 230?

Anyone heard of plans for a smaller G series model like the G21 or G22?

Very cool. G23 is going to be my preference, but I'm sure that G25 will be amazing.

I have been told by my dealer as they want to make sure we do not want to wait for the 25 .. I am thinking the G25 will be better suited for ocean usage as the G23 is plenty big for my lake adventures

My stating that was simply that he already got one so when production starts I'd imagine they'll start going to dealers and customers quicker. And as far as I know he still has a 2wd 1500 on 24's

I forgot that you knew him - does he have a Yukon or a Suburban? Did he get the Duramax put in at that place in Florida?

Is he going to get a G23?

Sorry about all the questions, just curious.

We did not check top speed whie we were out. Probably should have. I was concerned more with acceleration. The 550 did have a whine to it, but once up to speed you don't even hear it. It actually sounds really cool taking off. Not overly loud, but different from the 450.

In fact, here's a video I shot one day when Greg Meloon and I were playing around with a 230 with an XS-550. This may give you some idea of the sound. Obviously the sound from behind the boat where this was shot is way different than the sound inside the boat.

Does anybody know where the stereo amps are located on this boat? On the 230 they are on the hull side of the passenger seat storage, however I have not seen them in any of the photos .... ?
