My wife is out of town, and I am going to go visit my Nautique this weekend too. But it will not be a love fest. In fact, I am going to be drilling two 3/4" holes in her and doing all sorts of other banging and bruising to her.

^^Haha, ditto! Glad I'm not the only one. I break away after the fam has been on the boat for the day. I drop them off then get out for a solo cool down mission. Having a cold beer by yourself on your Nautique in the middle of the lake after a day with the fam ---- the best.

Yep my best cleanings happen in the middle of the lake alone. Wife and friends are coming down Saturday morning and i'm leaving this afternoon for my alone time.

TXJole: Understand your concerns. I went with a 210, and I did so knowing something new was on the horizon. Didn't matter to me b/c I was only taking a small step up in cost, so the new boat wasn't "relevant".

Not argiung, just asking: did pre 2007/2008 210 owners really suffer with the introduction of the updated 210? I read there was enough of a difference that those preferring the old would stay with it, and those liking the new would enjoy the new. I think the same will be true with Grey. My SV211's value didn't implode when it was discontinued and the 200 Sport and 216 V came out. I think that the various models will naturally find their own "strata" and thus market values. And with both a strong resale value combined with a lot of buyers that will buy a used boat over new (for whatever reason, mostly cost) I sense there will always be a resale market for well maintained Nautiques.

Poor analogy, but think about golf equipment manufacturers making new model drivers every year (Ping G 5 and G 10 come to mind after yesterday's glimpse as well as looking in my bag). I have probably 3 Ping drivers and have (or have given away) 3 old Titleist drivers, but I don't buy a new driver every year unless I really like it, and see a difference worth paying for based on my situation at the time. Doesn't mean the old one is worth less, age alone takes care of that, moreso I believe it is just that there is a market for new models. Kind of a result of living in an industrialized nation and an economy that is so focused on growth.

Correct Craft cannot remain static and stay competitive. Look at the advancements from the 196 to the 200 line -- and the price differences. I saw a lot of posts here that the 196 suits many just fine, and they've no need to get a 200 (yet) and if they do, they could pick up a one or two year old one should they choose.

I am eager to see the new Nautique boat when it is fully revealed and I have already recommended it to one friend that wants to move to a WB boat from his sport / cruiser (Cobalt).

Just to clarify, I am not condemning the new boat..... I still am excited for tomorrow night and will be there to see it in person. Up close and personal is much different than in a picture..... For the record, I still don't care for the new style tower... I will take my SS Titan any day... Besides, it matches the strippe... I mean, center tower support pole.....

Personally, I don't think current 230 or 210 owners for that fact, will suffer much value loss if any than normally would have occurred. This new boat will be geared to a different sub set (imo).
I, as well as all that I ride with, LOVE the wake that my 230 puts out, and the surf wave can keep me (6,1, 240#) going around the lake all day without the handle.(I guess if you don't have a boat you would pretty much love whatever you could get huh? Ha!) The curl is very nice. There will be a demand for good 230's and 210's for several years, when they do slide, it will not be like the bottom is falling out. Correct Craft builds quality, and that is why they hold their value for the most part. I have owned CC's for nearly 25 years.
Just from the brief viewing of the photo I saw, I am not impressed with the looks. It appears that the new hull must displace a Sh** ton of water...... I bet the old people on the lake are going to be ecstatic.... Watch out john boats....

The don't say anything if it's not nice rule applies to common banter. Not real situations.Mi don't have boat envy. I love my boat and soon will be caressing her with wax pads and dripping sweat bc it's already in the 80's. Do I want a new boat, maybe. Am I unsatisfied with what I've got? No way.

I really really used to love this site , get pumped up , it was all positive , now seems like haters , full of a very unhealthy vibe !! I know everyone has an opinion & I respect the heck outta that ! I was tought if you don't have anything nice to say , don't say anything ! I'm quite sure the people who worked day and night on this project 3-4 years ago didn't know what " YOU" would think is cool ?? I don't think it's cool to call something "real" people have put their heart & soul into a piece of crap ? That's real people , dads , moms ,sons & they are so excited to unveil this for " YOU " & this is the pat on the back we give them?? These folks are tryin to make you happy & put food on the table !
