We always do a check before running surf with them. If it doesn't fall off by the time we hit 8mph, its on. The aluminum one is hooked on like a mofo. We still do a tether just cause we don't want to lose it, and be careful about damaging the suction cups. If they get damaged the whole thing goes

I built one for $30. $20 aluminum plate glass handle on eBay, $7 poly cutting board (1/2 inch). Dimensions 9 wide at top, 11 inches long, 7 inches wide at outside edge. 10 degree angle and it works really well on my 210 with full ballast all the way around - decent surf wave.

Have used mine multiple times and has never come off. I bought the suction cups with stainless steel handle. It's a bit hard to get levers to snap down. It's a good thing though because it is rock solid. I'm betting if you make **** sure you have it snug every time you shouldn't have the issue of it flying off.

Has anyone had one come off on them? besides the person that said it flew in the boat? just concerned a bit with kids in the back, don't want to knock my daughters teeth out.

I am referring to the eBay one with a couple sticks screwed together. Cool that it floats but mine has never came off. And I put a tether on mine too.

Why pay 200 bucks for something that has 18 dollars worth of material when you can make one yourself very easily? Took me about 45 minutes total and it works awesome. I'll post pictures when I get by the boat again.

great looking product. on your site, the drop down says "size" where you select the color. do the colors imply a difference size, or just different colors?Originally posted by SAN210PatNew company selling adjustable wake shapers for a fraction of the price of delta and ronix.

Update on the gate on the 230.
It it was user error on their part. It worked pretty well. There is a very narrow area to stick he gate, but once I told them to put it on the opposite side it worked great! Here's me behind his 2011 230. And this was stock ballast with 2 guys in the boat.

Great Thread. I got one off of Ebay and works amazing, cheapest I have seen them.
Doesn't adjust but I don't this you really need it to. I'm sure Mission did a ton of testing to find the right angle.
He still has some selling. http://www.ebay.com/itm/262519676690

I haven't been successful with one on my 230.Originally posted by surroundsound64 View PostHas anyone tried one of these gates on a 230 yet? I loaned mine to a friend with a 230 this morning and he couldn't get it low enough in the water to do anything other than make a bunch of splash.
