yes, I hadn't thought too much of what angle to use, but just looking at the pics on the previous page, it seems to be about 60-70 degrees from perpendicular once installed.Originally posted by brandong View PostHey Nukemustang, are you planning to angle the gate on your sv-211?

look at the bottom of the 4th picture, I am not even sure they are necessary, but I went ahead and did itOriginally posted by gdhallThanks for the info! The only thing I don't quite get is where you drilled the release holes. Is it just behind the black part of the suction cup on each side?

NR2041 You are the MAN!!! Thanks for the dimensions. I picked up a "Sucker" this past weekend. Now need to cut up a cutting board and hopefully get the same results. Happy Surfing.

I put it on in the water each time we got ready to surf, I can put on and take off from the swim platform, the suction handle has small relief holes drilled to allow water to escape from the back side of the suction cups to relieve pressure, we had no suction failures over three daysOriginally posted by wakejunkyWhen are you putting the system on? Outside of water or while on the lake? I'm thinking that trying to put the system on I the water will not work because of water under the suction cups

here goes my best for a detailed write up on the suck gate I made.
materials one of these:
http://www.amazon.com/COSMOS-Aluminu...on+grip+handle
1/2" thick hdpe cutting board, I use a 15" x 20"
2 3" stainless bolt 5/16" I believe was the size, two SS nylon lock nuts, 16 SS washers, 6 1" SS sheet metal screws with tapered heads, small piece of 550 cord, left over extension for tow rope
first start by drilling hole through one of the plastic suction handles for release cord, then drill small holes through the metal to allow water pressure relief when applying suction, then measure and cut out boards, I used a skill saw and jig saw,
once I had the boards cut I drilled holes through the board and handles for the attachment bolts, see pics for location, then attached boards to the handle with 3 SS washers for spacing between the boards and handle, next I place a bolt I had laying around to make sure the gap stayed even from top to bottom, marked my plate , drill pilot holes for the screws and attached the plate, I used some coarse sand paper to smooth out the sharp edges, attached my safety tether and it was ready to go, see pics for the measurements, good luck to everyone trying this out and happy surfing!
