    New Project Boat

I picked this boat up last week and with absolutely no need for a new one. Isn't that how it all begins? Anyway, the main reason for the purchase is my yearning for a python. I had one at my disposal for a few years with my father in law and could not get it out of my system. When this one came up I jumped on it. Yes it needs some TLC to get it to my standards, but winter is looming and it will be a fun project. Did I mention that my 98 is for sale?

Here she is, and yes that is the big python not the baby one......

Looks like a good project for you Brad. Good luck with it, and the sale of your SS.

Nice, not too much to do except vinyl, stereo (probably) and good detail, nice find! Love the humps on the rear sunpads on these Vdrive Pythons....

2002 and up had 496's, not 502's. I think even some 2001's had them. not Brad's.

It is more of a good natured ribbing thing I like to throw out there.

Whether you have a 496 or 502 they were both rated for 430hp, except in 2003 it was rated at 425hp. It's always nice to say you have a 502 in there though

THe 502 was rated at 438. Not to split hairs or anything. And, yes, it is nice to say it is a 502.

                        These go to 11 !!!

I was just going by what was printed in the Nautique brochure HERE It's the same in the the rest of them. Do you have some inside info about the 438 rating?

I don't get it? "These go to 11"
