Now that you have the dimensions of the subfloor cavity, remove the existing sacs and get some custom made fatsacs that will fit in perfectly and connect exactly right to the existing plumbing. No need to piggyback.
I had some custom fatsacs made for my 210, it wasn’t expensive and, of course, install was easy.

For those of you stashing lead on the new G23s, are you putting them in the storage compartment or sub-floor?

I have a G25, and put mine subfloor pushed toward the tower.

SmokieRiver and BYLKN.....just to clarify....when you or someone says "subfloor"....are you talking about under the floor...as in putting your steel ball 50# bags in the bilge area? I thought sub-floor meant "under" the normal floor of the boat...not just setting the bags under the lifting seats behind the driver and on the passenger side...."Inside" the boat. Maybe I'm mis-understanding the question....and the answer....LOL. By the way...I put my bags under the seats....slightly behind the tower on both sides. I consider this..."above floor"......

I would agree that is above floor to me as well. But, there is a compartment (subfloor) that you can access under your flip up seats. When open, you can see the compartment holding the rear ballast bags and another compartment moving towards the bow of the boat. I put the lead there, out of sight, not taking up any additional storage.

Sweet. I’ll check that out and my re-locate mine as well if that’s better. Thanks for the tip.

I was thinking below the floor that is the storage under the seats. That’s where I’m looking to put it so I takes up minimal to no storage space.

I think it depends on if you plan on moving it ever again. Getting under the floor into the ballast compartment takes a little more work and I would not want to do that if I sometimes moved the lead or decided to go on a long trip where I may not want to trailer it that far. Many like to experiment with moving it forward or back, and it takes a while to find that sweet spot.

So will the Ballast upgrade be available to be installed on 2021 G's?

I’m putting 500lbs into my 2021 G23 and curious on why you recommend the bias of weight towards the port side? Vast majority of people with me that surf is goofy, and I’m wondering if I should just put 250 by each tower.

Prop rotation forces the starboard side of the boat deeper into the water producing a stronger wave on the goofy (starboard) side. This force is balanced by placing 200 lbs of extra weight on the port side.

So of you are using 500 lbs total, I would place 350 to 400 lbs on the port side and the rest on the starboard side in the flip-up coffin seats near the tower.
