I would speculate that the reason the Paragon has less ballast than the prior G23 was because maximum weight of the Paragon would exceed safe limits with the prior ballast, full fuel, gear and max people on board. Nautique would not want the Paragon to be certified for fewer people than the G.
With a much heavier boat ballast probably had to be reduced. Reducing ballast was probably an easy decision because the surf wave was fantastic even with less ballast than the prior generation G.
Then when Nautique used that platform for the G it was "easier/cheaper/faster" to keep the same ballast configuration. Perhaps they will be motivated to fix this in future generation G boats. But it's not like being under ballasted is hurting G23 sales so don't hold your breath...

I have ordered it on a triple axle due to the regular travel distance so minimal lead will be fine i just didn't want rely on lead - So based on this Im stil wondering if there is room under the floor for the bigger bags ? clearly the GEN3 hull is massive has anyone got any build pics of the lower deck before the top skin goes on to see the construction layout compared to the old mould? as then all would stil run perfectly from a factory perspective without the added drama of filling locker bags for me
there must be a reason Nautique dropped the stock ballast and this is clearly an issue with the wave performance on the G

Yip primo bro / thanks for sending those thru - it looks like the bag voids are as large as the old models so looks very promising to simply switch out the Stock bags - I would expect this would be very similar with the front bag location also - this then gains back the missing stock ballast that the gen3 G needs -
does anyone know if the timer can be managed on the link to extend pump duration or just simple double tap like a piggy back setup

Havnt uploaded pics b4 do hope that worked
looks like there is slot of space forward of the bag access panel but also more room aft
Looks really promising - so really a simple fix for nautique - same bag as previous.......

Potential bag draining issue from the front section due the the structural hull rib below the hatch but some creative plumbing can prob get around that
looks like an ideal location to also put lead that is out of the way for the ones that don’t need to trailer there boats
