Hmm. My dealer told me that you can get it down but you have to carry the weight. I did not think to ask him how that's done.

I did get to watch tower go up and down. On the G23 the tower was down when I entered the boat. I am 6'4" and had to stretch my legs to get over the tower. Racks were swiveled inboard, Bimini was down and it had one set of speakers. There was not much room for me to get over the tower. Maybe not so bad once you figure out the positioning however I think I will order a tower up cover to go along with the tower down cover that is coming with my boat. I have a feeling climbing over the tower will get old quickly. If you didn't have a Bimini mounted maybe it would be easier. I liked how Bimini lowers and raises. It looked like it had more coverage area also.

I did not see an issue with front window. Had little bumpers on windshield to keep glass from touching. But then again I don't drive with my windows open so maybe that may be different driving through double ups.

I imagine with the right tools, you could take it down manually...
I would order both covers, as well.

Apparently, manually dropping the power tower is a ‘special tools required task’, and is not easy. However, the Nautique rep (Dusty?) stated that people are calling and asking, so they are aware of the concerns. I am curious to see what happens.

So yeah I can tell you that you don’t want to be doing a lot with it once the tower is down besides throwing the cover on, it’s a pain.

I would suggest tower up cover for frequent users to avoid having to take the tower down every time you cover...it’s a pain.

I’m thinking many will buy both covers since there are times when you could use both....Sneaky Nautique squeezing us all for another 1200!

Where you are 6’4” how is your head clearance under the tower? Also do you have to duck your head to get under the Bimini walking from the bow to the back? I know the 18s and 19s have taller towers than the 17s, I’ve been on a 17 I was just wondering how much taller it is.

I’m curious about this on the 2019, as well. I am 6’2” and on the 2018, I don't have to duck at all.

I just noticed that Nautique updated their website to show the 2019 Model G series. Either this is a new update, or my cache finally dropped the previous version. Enjoy!

Yeah I thought it was good too . I did find it was interesting there was no mention of the Pebble watch or the upcoming partnership with Garmin come the Nov 2018 announcement for the Surf Select feature

I didn't even notice that. Good point. Although, we are not the pebble users that some others are. I think we have used the Pebble watch 3 times at the most, so it has not been a major feature for us. Our dealer lost our Surf remote switch, along with our swim step cover. I forgot to ask about that the last few times my boat broke.

On a separate topic, how do your engine compartment and ballast system hardware components do in salt water? I am close enough to the ocean to justify a coastal edition, but never pulled the trigger. I raced Jet Skis years ago, and it was always a battle to de-salt everything.

Actually my boat has 275 hours but has never been in salt water. I may be moving to the gulf coast within a year which is why I ordered a coastal edition.

Got it! My neighbor uses a silicone spray to coat everything in his engine and driveline bays on his 2012 Wakesetter before each salt water outing. It still looks pristine to this day.

Yeah even if I sell my boat prior to moving , the coastal edition may help with the resale value since it has never been in salt water. With the $5,000 coastal upgrade it does have some nice features over the non coastal models

What % can you expect off of the MSRP on the build sheet options? Also what options would you get for sure, or what would you leave out on a 210 build?
