I would say probably not unless you plan on spending entire days out on the water with lots of people in the boat. The boards can go on the tower, and Correct Craft also offers ski racks that mount on the floor against the side of the boat. These ski racks are listed as options for the 196 and 206 only, but I don't see why they wouldn't fit a 216.

- Does the single person passenger seat in the 216 make cold morning runs with three people a real pain?

I don't have personal experience here, but you could always order a jump seat with the 216, and position it next to the passenger seat. Close the windshield and snap on the windblock, and you should be all set. Here's a picture of how the jump seat looks when in the position that I describe. This is on a Super Air, but you can get a general idea.

- Comments on handleing between the two boats

Handling should be very similar between the two boats, the slight edge going to the 206 of course. Remember Correct Craft has reverse rotation compared to MasterCraft, so CC boats back to the opposite direction.

I opted for the 206--mainly because it has a better slalom wake. If you are more into wakeboard, then the 216 is the ticket. The 206 is more of a hardcore slalom boat with fairly decent crossover capabilities. The opposite is true for the 216. (Although the 216's slalom wake is not too shabby).

I guess it depends which way you lean. If you are a slalom junkie, then the 206 is the boat. If you love to ride more than slalom, buy the 216. Either way, you'll love your new boat. Have you thought about the 211?

I hear there is no room in the locker for a 68" ski, it won't fit under the pasenger seat and no one is making a Rack mount for the ski's. How are you handling this. I am looking at a demo 206.

You're right about the rear locker. However, I'm fairly sure you can fit a 68" ski under the observer seat. (Haven't tried yet. It's winter.) I've also seen CC's rack mount on a 206.

They fixed that problem about the 68" ski if im correct. it used to be that the tanks curled up the side, now they are totally flat, so you can get that big ski in now. However if you dont get the tanks i dont think it would have been a problem to begin with.

Doesn't anyone make aftermarket racks that will fit the FCT and hold skis?

Anyone have a picture of the trunk in the 2003 206. I have seen the 2004 but I found a 2003 about 5 hours away that I am debateing driving down to look at.

i've seen the 03 206 and with tanks...there is only a couple "'s literally of depth....only good for ropes and very thin jackets...i dont even think a ski could fit in it...Are you planning on gettting a 206 with or without ballast tanks?

Hollywood, Are those the large or the large or the small tanks? Or was that an option on this boat? Because i could have sworn in saw an air 206, 2003, with about 4 at most inches of depth...

AbunDiga909, I don't know what various size tanks CC offered, if any. I've never heard of a ballast tank that ran port - starboard either. Maybe the boat you saw had a false floor with something else underneath.

You can fix that problem by getting a jumpseat. That's what we have in our Air and then two people can sit up there with the heater. Its never been a pain in our boat, when its cold outside and we have 3-4 people someone will sit on the floor right by the heater to stay warm.

There are two different ballast tanks you could order, a trick tank or wake tank. I believe the trick tanks are 220lbs and the wake tanks are 324 lbs.

And yes...i think one of them does run port-starboard...i done have one handy...but i remember seeing a pic of it in one of the recent catalogs...we should take a look...
