I love the black hull! Water spots are worse on the topside, we float on and off lift, as of the fall waxing no noticeable scratches.

thanks the dealers says I cant change colors after the 28th but the plant doesnt even open back up until after the new year holiday. all of our past boats have been white bottom with colors in the middle and we get tons of waterspots on the hull side because the wind dries it while we are out using it but where it stays wet we were able to wipe it down when we get back in and it is fine. i think the only answer is a entire white boat but it took my dealer 2 seasons to sell it so i dont think that is a good idea.

You should check out a product called spotless. we wipe down at end of day with it, and I have quit waxing the boat ever since. black hull shines like new and the more I use it, the better the product works.2005 SV-211

http://spotlessboat.com/ not sure if it is wipe on wipe off or you have to rinse but i have tried several products and none of them worked except mequirs scratch remover and that took forever so if this works it would be amazing

Spotless will not take away scratches. Never use dirty towels. I like Spotless a lot. I still use Boat Bling Hot Sauce, but mostly because I get it cheaper than Spotless. I have not used it enough to say it is any better, but it is very good. I generally try to use everything that comes out and those are the only 2 that I would use if you have the money.
When I stretched financially to get my first boat, I used water, vinegar and some liquid wax. It works pretty good, but I do believe the commercial preparations are a little better.
Having said all that, a good wax job twice a year will do more than all of the wipe down solutions put together.
