black hull bottom?

it is like opinions, everyone has one.

I don't like the black bottom because it will show everything, including water spots, but nobody looks at it. Bunk scratches are hard to avoid. I cannot get my G23 deep enough without sinking my truck to make it so I don't get the trailer bunk rubs.

I think it can look great and was looking forward to seeing what you had, because the black bottom can look really nice. For some reason, yours does not make my spidey sense tingle. I am not sure why, but I am not feeling it. I would be interested in seeing the same boat with a white bottom and white trailer.

That black in the picture above looks great.

How does black show the scum line? I feel like it might be better, you wouldn't have so much of a yellow line.

Had navy blue hull once and swore I'd never do another colored hull because of the scratches from the trailer bunks.

When are you actually able to see scratches from the trailer bunks? That problem doesn't bother me much because no one would ever know they are there.

Our 2017 G23 we just ordered has black bottom, this is our second black bottom boat.

Black is bad a** but is a little higher to maintain. Yes it shows some scratches but I have had light gray and white and those show scratches as well.

Fell for another Black rig today. Sealed the deal on this Black bottom. Early Christmas present for the family and the kids are so flipping exited. Are families first boat.
Definitely think it was the rite choice.

Ok that's just a beautiful boat. One of the best I've seen. Simple yet nice. The brown interior completely finishes it up.

Is that a 21 or 23? Can't quite tell I and don't see many 23s without the triple axle. The 21s sure don't seem very popular anymore.

this is the exact build- just questioning the black bottom

I really like black bottom and the black tower. I think it really stands out. The only thing you might want to reconsider is that black strip on the top deck. That thing will get HOT. Really hot. One of my buddies had a black 2001 or 2002 SAN and in July/August it was tricky just getting into the boat if it had been tied to the dock for a while. The top deck wasn't going to burn a foot, but it was **** hot.

When are you actually able to see scratches from the trailer bunks? That problem doesn't bother me much because no one would ever know they are there.

Maybe varies with different models/hulls and bunk configs, in my experience the higher portion of the bow hits the bunks first when loading, when the back of the boat settles onto the trailer the scratches are on a portion of the hull not sitting on the bunks so they are very visible, same holds true when on the boat lift. Not as visible floating in the water since wet gel does not show the scratches as well.

thanks but you cant see it in the photo but there is gray sea deck on top so there is no black except for the very tip of the nose and the rest of the inside deck is all white. we tried to eliminate it but it didnt look right
