I'm going to go with a new flagship 25' wake boat, the Super Air Nautique 250.

can somebody define revolutionary as it pertains to the wake (remember, goal #1) and to the person on the end of the rope? will 14s and triple flips become second nature for everyone on the tour or on your local lake?

maybe revolutionary was meant to describe the experience for the occupants of the vessel. will the boat drive itself, compact refuse, have zero engine/prop noise, or make your lunch time snacks for you?

or it could have meant it was revolutionary for the owner. will it become immediately fuel efficient, increase maintenance intervals, be easier to tow than a zodiak, and reduce the cost of a flagship boat to less than that of the average cost of a domicile in america?

or maybe revolutionary refers to establishing a new benchmark between size and cost that consumers actually believe will grow their experience and strengthens the falsehood that bigger boats create bigger wakes as opposed to boats that displace more water create bigger wakes.

either way, i suspect the boat to be mildly evolutionary rather than revolutionary, and that none of our experiences on the water will be markedly more measurable than the offerings currently available.

will i want one? probably. will it change the way we conduct the sport? that remains to be seen.

It sure would be nice if they would step away from the $75k+ boats and just put a bare-bones wake-boat together that didn't cost the price of my firstborn plus my left testicle. Keep it in the $35-40k range and they would sell a lot of boats. Tower, ballast, perfect pass, and a solid hull are the major pre-requisites.

The blog said they don't care right? "The wake was our number one priority in the design of this boat and we all agreed that no matter what, we would not sacrifice making the best wake in the world for any other attribute on the boat. No compromises."

So maybe it looks like a Glastron tri-hull or maybe it looks like an Epic.

--- ha ha $100K ? - heck thats just in the neighborhood with the 230's --- I'd guess we're gonna have to dig deeper into our wallets than $100k for one.

It sounds like a no extras pro wake boarder producer, but no company is putting their best wake in their cheaper boat so...

I’ve designed numerous pro model wakeboards with Hyperlite and over the years I have poked my head into PD&D (Product Design and Development) at Nautique to see what they were working on and give input when I stopped by the factory. I have always enjoyed the design process that happens with a wakeboard, and as a rider at Nautique, the engineers and design team continually ask for our input on how to make their boats better.Several years ago, the Nautique team riders were approached about designing a revolutionary new wakeboarding boat that would completely transform the industry. Nautique truly wanted to put this in the hands of the riders and do something different. So we started with a blank canvas and set out to create our dream boat.

Our plan was to begin with the wake. The wake was our number one priority in the design of this boat and we all agreed that no matter what, we would not sacrifice making the best wake in the world for any other attribute on the boat. No compromises. Once we got that dialed, we would focus on making the smoothest driving, most comfortable boat for passengers as well as the most space-efficient vessel you will ever feast your eyes on. Big Dreams.

So, there we were with a room full of engineers and designers, and our objective was to get all of the ideas we collected over the years out of our heads and onto the drawing board. We are the kind of people that if one thing is wrong out of a hundred items, we cannot take our minds off that one thing. We weren’t going sign off on this boat until every single item was perfect and up to the standards of the entire team. This process is something I will never forget as we worked on a project that would completely alter what we all thought was possible in a wakeboard boat. I cannot wait to share more with you about this incredible process next week as we approach the moment that will change it all.

Wow this is thread has a lot of views and posts...maybe the highest rate I've ever seen. Maybe Jeff's admin tools could prove it.

Back to the topic. I can wait. I'm more excited and counting the days to get back into my legacy dinosaur 206.

Whatever it is, it was behind a wall at the factory last October, when my brother went down to check out his boat being built. I'll bet anything it's a 24' SA. The big 3 seem bent on competing on who has the biggest these days. As long as they sell, and provide R&D capital for 200 style boats, I'm all for it!
