Just pretend it doesn't exist. There's no way you'll be unsatisfied with the boat you purchased.

I've also heard from an AD who has seen it that the new boat will have the shovel nose. I'm with the purists in that I really don't care for that look whatsoever. BUT, we live near the Chesapeake Bay and even the rivers we usually keep to get rough with large boat traffic (think 50' SeaRay, full throttle, couldn't care less about skiers and wakeboarders then multiply that by 50 and you get the picture of a typical weekend).
We have a 2012 SAN 230 on order, delivery next month. I sure hope I'm not disappointed . . . nothing's worse than ordering your dream boat only to find out a couple weeks later you would have been happier with something else.

Introducting, the new Fish Nautique...and you can ski behind it.Originally posted by schaabj View PostI have gotten info that the new reveal will be this:
2 NEW BOATS
23.5 ft SAN
25 ft SAN
They will both have a new NOSE, which is called a Shovel nose ...Much like a Pickle fork with the ladder in it, however, no forks just blunt square nose ...
I have heard the wake is in the same area as the 230 SAN as it is a world class wake, however the boat will be able to take rougher water, better for additional ballast and ocean operation.
I just bought a NEW 2012 SAN and wont be the least bit disappointed as I do not like the Square / Pickle nose look ....

Man, I think a square nose could be made pretty sweet looking. Bottom line is the bottom dollar, a wider nose with more seating, more interior room, more ballast room, brings more money with nominal changes in build costs.

Is this credible? Shovel nose huh? Who gave you the deets, someone in the loose lipped dealer community? They can never keep a secret and almost always blow it when we're this close.
McGuffin, or real. I do not know about this post but it has me thinking.

Is anyone headed down to the big reveal on 3.31.12. I'm going to be in Orlando that day and was thinking of heading over for the event. I hope after all this hype it won't be disappointing.

hype is so stupid. if any nautique rider, be it d. harf, murray, watson, etc was lured to mc, malibu, or whatever they would say the SAME thing about those companies new things. i fully understand the reasoning behind this type of marketing/announcement; however, to some degree it just seems demoralizing to the consumers. i have no way of proving or disproving their claims b/c i have not tested the product, but even if i had it's just heresay and cannot be proven or unproven.
