If you look at history over the past 5 years CC has refined their existing line and done away with some of the models. They haven’t gone from having 9 models to 18. They are down to 4 hulls at this point with various options to streamline production. They’ve concentrated on a core set of boats and perfected them.

If I had to guess at the new boat, I’d bet on a new 23 foot Nautique. One hull, various options like the 200. Eventually the 226 and the 230 will merge into this. Look at the history.

Funny back in the day there was the ski, sport, and basically super sport. Then money fell from the sky like manna from heaven and everyone blew boats models out the door and got all fat and happy. Then the boat industry had to get smart again, and CC has adapted itself well.

As far a price points? CC is selling to a high end clients, period end of sentence. That’s their target market. Have a limited budget and want a Nautique, buy a used one. Then someday you’ll buy a new one. Simple as that, I wouldn’t ever expect to see a more economical Nautique again.

You guys aren't familiar with all the new diesel emmisions laws started in '08 then revamped even more strict in '12?? Chances are they are not going to give a free pass to boats considering California already has emissions laws in place for rec boaters. theres no need for an engine change from a PCM zr450, the 230 comes out of the hole fully loaded like nothing and pcm has the best track record hands down..................nuff said

Diesel is not aways easiest to find on the water.

not on lakes or small rivers. . . but very easy to find near the coasts or larger waterways.

They run offroad diesel? I always thought thy was dirtier, but I'm no expert.

Better have a fresh air exhaust with offroad diesel or your rider won't be able to see.

You haven't seen the Audi or Peugeot diesel race cars, not a bit of soot, plus the fumes don't have carbon monoxide so no need for the FAE.

But no one has considered engine choices, I know PCM has the ZR450 and the supercharged XS550 - but has anyone considered diesel, I know Mastercraft was working on one but don't know if it got anywhere. Think of it, torque, power and the ability to use less expensive off road diesel.

i do think i read somewhere that ZR whatever was going to be the only option, but that is just hearsay. knowing that both PCM and Ilmoor sources their blocks from gm marine (http://www.gmpowertrain.com/MarineEn...EMListing.aspx), i would love to see PCM work the 7.4L 454 that MC is going to be using in their new X Star into their engine options. mmmm big block tourque....

I just meant that a normal Buyer usually understands ur not paying Msrp and the Msrp of boats is really a joke considering the "discount."

What boat do you guys think that is, sitting on the lift?
Weird lines for a Nautique. But that looks like the new-gen tower.
Is that just a Malibu pointed angularly/awkwardly toward the camera?
Is my mind running away with this or could that be it, sort of sitting under our noses?

pretty bad when we cant tell our beloved nautiques from a malibu................. starting happening in 07........ and yes!!!!!! a 24ft nautique at $168,965. everybody will have one!!!!

I don't mean to split hairs but isn't that the definition of a discount--offering a buyer something less than the manufacturer's suggested retail price? I'm not saying everyone gets the same discount (and I'm certainly not suggesting dealers sell at a loss) but as i said originally, most buyers get some discount which certainly affects the amount of realized depreciation. Using Orbiter's example above, a used boat selling for $55k which had MSRP of $90k realized less deprivation of it sold new, on average, for $75k than if it sold, on a average, for full MSRP.
