      Looks like an afterthought in that shot. Someone on the design team remembered at the last minute 'oh crap, we forgot to design a tower!' Still hear the rattlecan shaking when I see that blue >:{

          It always seems the ones with the negative comments are not even in the market for a new boat/tower anyway.
          I really don't think it's cost effective to have a bunch of different tower options on standby hoping to please everyone. Everyone complained about the FCT3 not fitting into small 7' doors, so they redesigned it to please everyone and now theres crying! I personally think the tower looks way better on the 210, with the 230's long bow lines it does look like it's mounted pretty far back, but thats probably a good thing as it will help with visibility.

            Actually I am in the market. And my comment was more confused and constructive than anything else.

              It was just an observation. There are always questions on design no matter what, but I think there comes a time when we have to trust the designers and engineers and realize there is a method to their madness....

                I see what everyone is saying but I will wait until I see one in person and see the new folding in action.

                  Although mine is a 2002, I ended up liking some of hte aftermarket towers more so put a Samson tower on. TO each his own. I always like to have options, I have never been one to buy something without seeing it first. BTW, anyone else notice that the 2011 tower on the MC looks like robocop's leg?

                      Eric, how do you like your Samson? I was looking through their site yesterday, thought the SN looked good with their setup. Does it seem stable, quiet?

                        yeah, same as you having an opinion on our opinions....this is a fan based site, there is no need to be in the market on order to put your two cents in. If you like the tower, good, if not, just as well. Don't get mad at people voicing there opinions on an OPEN forum board please.

                        And yes, I'm in the market for a new aftermarket tower, maybe i should have specified so as not to offend you

                          I love my Samson tower. Highly recommend the company. Each tower footing is custom made to contour the hull so there are no gaps to lead to stress points etc. Very well made. PM me if youhave questions

                            So FCT-5 replaces the FCT-3 completely?

                            Im glad that I have the FCT-3 on my 2010....

                            So I guess the only option left are either FCT-4 or FCT-5? Is this correct?

                              The FCT4 is gone. The ONLY tower option is the FCT5 on the 210 adn 230.

                                Wow, sorry to upset you. I was just stating the obvious, not ''mad'' at anyone. I am a huge fan, my family and I have owned 9 Correct Crafts and counting, our FCT3 is being replaced by the FCT5 as we speak. As far as I can see no other manufacturer offers more than 1 tower option anyhow so it only makes sense.
                                Once again not ''offended'', just stating my opinion on this open forum. Wow, too funny..
