Hey guys. I just picked up a set of Deafcon III tower speakers and I got a 4 channel amp included in the sale. After doing some research on how to wire them up it looks like the 4 channel amp isn't the way to go. The 4 ch is 70x4 @ 4 ohm, 100x4 @ 2 ohm, and 200x2 @ 4 ohm. Since the Deafcon IIIs are wired parallel in the cans I don't think that this amp will work because if I bridge it it will show the amp 2 ohm and it's not going to be stable. So I need to pick up a 2 ch amp. I'm looking at getting something that has approx 300x2 @ 2 ohm. Just so my understanding is correct, will this show each of the 4 speakers 150 W? Thanks

You should have some binding post similar to this on your cans: http://www.earmarkcaraudio.com/Xcart...cat=311&page=1
Inside the speaker can the speaker wire would go from the binding post to the speaker terminals. Either solder or can use female quick slide connectors: http://a248.e.akamai.net/pix.crutchf...fqs10pk-f.jpeg
You can buy female quick slide connectors at home depot or any hardware store. Earmark probably could get you some also.Current: 2001 Air Nautique GT-40

Where is the easiest place to mount an amp on the driver's side of the boat. My battery is over there and there is already a hole drilled on that side for running a wire up through the tower. Would you ever consider putting an amp in the rear locker? How hard is it to remove the interior piece next to the driver and mount an amp behind there? What is the easiest way to mount the amp in either of these places? Thanks 74 for your replies so far.2001 Super Air Nautique (For Sale)

hey i have mine wired so that the power go up the port side of the boat into the compartment under the glove box. i do not have a tower set but i do have a 10" in that same compartment. But in my opinion you should put the amp in that compartment and then run the speaker wires around the bow under the seats, then feed it through the driver sectioin where all your wiring is. There really is no room to mount an amp on the starboard side unless you can fit it up under the rails. But i dont recomend that.

I havent seen one mounted on driver side. Most people mount them under the console/pass seat against the side of the boat: http://planetnautique.com/vb3/attach...6&d=1238467513Current: 2001 Air Nautique GT-40

Yea I was aware that most people mounted them in the area under the observer seat. I was just wondering if there was a somewhat easy way of mounting one on the driver's side mainly to cut down the length of the wire runs. But I guess I'll just mount it under the observers seat.
After looking into the connectors a little more it looks like they are set up with a Neutrik connector chassis, but I don't have the connector part. Does anyone know if these cans have the 2 pole or 4 pole chassis, or if it even matters. Just need to know which connector to buy. Thanks2001 Super Air Nautique (For Sale)
