I don't see why it wouldn't fit. I haven't tried putting any boards up there yet since I haven't had the need to take the boards with me when going out on the boat (water is too cold without a wetsuit).

Axeman - thanks a million for posting these pictures.....exactly the views I was looking for to make my decision on how I'm going to mount these things. Couple of follow-up questions. 1. With the billet mounts you are using on the side mounts for the lower REVs, can the speakers swivel or are they fixed in place? 2. Did your installer/dealer mention any volume would be lost (absorbed) by placing them further back on the Z-5 (using the first bar instead of the 2nd/rear bar). Wondering if the canvas of the Z-5 would be enough to effect the sound projection (probably a bit too nit-picky with that question).
Love the LED rings too....did you go with the RGB rings? Thanks again.

Answers to questions below:
1. The side mounts are fixed not swivel mounts. I wouldn't want this heavy of a speaker on a swivel mount IMO.
2. No, but I wouldn't think that matters for someone riding behind the boat. On the other hand, I think the Z5 helps the people in the boat from being completely blasted by all 4 tower speakers.
Yes, they are the RGB ring.2016 Super Air Nautique 230 (sold)

Thanks Axeman:
1. Yeah, agree on the weight of this speaker and swivel....I have a pair of REV10s at home that I took off my 210 and they are freaking heavy. Only reason why I ask is I have to fold my tower down to get it into the garage and the driver's seat is right in the way of where a side mounted REV10 would be....so trying to figure out a work around. Maybe I can swivel the seat such or move it forward that it does not interfer with the speaker....or maybe my stereo guy can come up with a quick disconnect for the side speakers.
2. Valid point on protecting peeps in the boat from getting blasted by all four speakers. My last boat's tower racked back so much that the speaks were pretty far back over the cabin.....totally different set up on this boat however, don't want to have to turn down the volume just to keep passengers happy (I'm all for the rider!).
RGB nice! I think that's what I am going to go with as well.

Andrew,
As a follow up since you were concerned with the clearance of the top speakers and the Z5. The Z5 has a sideways adjustment (clamps towards the front on the sides) that allows you to center it. I would get this centered the way you want it and then tighten the screw around the clamp to make sure it doesn't move around even when clamped down. I noticed mine had moved and had to make an adjustment to it this past weekend. Hope this helps!2016 Super Air Nautique 230 (sold)

Axeman,
Thanks for the tip on recentering the Z-5. I remember seeing the clamp adjustments you're talking about and my boat is currently at the Wetsounds dealer right now getting its makeover (I also decided against lowering the Z-5 and told them to follow your install....even sent them your pics). Hoping they will have it back to me this weekend.....I feel like I've hardly even gotten to use my boat, only has 8.5 hours on it right now. I'll post pics when I get it back...thanks for the help.
