"Removable for the resale"...valid point! Thanks for the congrats - I was going through withdrawal after selling my 210....happy to have a Nauti back. Awesome - which lake do you guys ride on over there? Have you hit up Hexagon Wake Park yet? When I was in school at Texas, I went to TSR Cable Park a few times....man that stuff is tiring! Cable is 10x more exhausting than boat IMO.

Andrew - are you planning on putting a little tint on that windshield. I think even just a slight tint on her would make that blue & white POP! especially with that Z5 bimini.
Make sure you post pics on the water when shes all done.

Jordan and Harris lake. We also do a couple of trips per year to hyco and Smith mountain lake.

        No cable parks for us.

I have two young boys, so we usually hit the water early and play all day.

Migs - my dealer said the exact same thing. He said that I should add just a little bit of tint to make it blend in with the black windshield frame and Z-5. He is also going to send me new 2013 black powder coated racks here in a few months....guy is awesome! I will make sure to put up some updated pics once I've got it how I would like it....most of these pics the dealer took for me when it was on the lot and being lake tested.

Uncalum - cool....yeah, I'm the same way. I much prefer boat to cable....the first time I ever tried to hit a rail I about killed myself....I'll stick to the liquid kicker behind the boat!

Anyone know if four REV-10s will fit on my tower with the Z-5 there? I'm taking it to my stereo guy here in a few weeks and he says he can do it, but I don't see how its possible....just not much room up there laterally above the Z-5 (also I think you have to get different Z-5 mounts to lower it a bit to clear the speakers). Maybe two speakers up top and then one on either side using the lower mounts that are on the tower legs? Only way I can see it would work....

            Andrew,

4 REV-10s will fit. You will need to mount two on top towards the middle using the standard tower clamps. You will not be able to put the top ones in the stock location without lowering the Z5. You'll need to buy new mounting plates for the other two on the sides. My system should be installed in the next week or so. Same setup. Hopefully I can have pics by next weekend.

Axeman - thank you for the response. Yes, I did a lot of work over the weekend on the topic and realized you need two main parts to make it work: 1.) The Z-5 lowering kit (Z-5 said you have to buy this from Wetsounds and it will be available in the next couple of weeks) 2.) You need the four billet mounts (if you do not want to use the tower clamps uptop) from EarMark to mount two REV10s up top and then two on the side.

Please post some pics up of your set-up once its complete. I'm looking to do mine in 3-4 weeks.

If you don't want to lower the Z5 any lower than what it already is then just use the tower clamps for the top two speakers. I'm 6'1" so I don't want to lower mine any further. I'll post pics as soon as I get the boat back (hopefully this week).

Okay, gotcha. That's good to know - I thought the only way to clear the REV10s was to lower the Z-5. I'm not super tall (5'10"), but I've already whacked my head a few times on the Z-5 at its standard height.....that "smarts"!

Excited to see your pics once you've got the install completed.

Axeman - WOW, that is a good looking 230.....love the all black. Okay, awesome - looks like it is possible.....this looks like a really nice install. Quick questions: 1.) Do the two upper REV10s touch/hit the Z-5 going down the lake? My worry is that the speakers will wear out the Z-5 canvas if there is friction between the two. 2.) How do you have the top REV10s mounted to the tower? I can't tell if you used the "around the bar" clamps that come with the REV10s or if you somehow used the existing mounts that were used with the OEM Roswell tower speakers. Also, for the side speakers, did you use the following mounts from EarMark (see pic below)?

                          Andrew,

The top speakers do not touch the Z5 at all. I didn't take close-up pics but I can get those this weekend if you would like. I used the "around the bar" tower clamps that come with the REV10s. You cannot install them in the stock Roswell speaker location without lowering the Z5. Yes, I used those mounts for the side speakers. One thing I noticed yesterday while out on the water is that the tilt movement of the Z5 is limited by the lower REV10s. So if this is of major concern to you (meaning you want to be able to tilt the Z5 completely perpendicular to the boat) then I would suggest going with a pair of REV8s for the lower speakers. I'd say I was able to tilt it between 30-45 degrees which is plenty for me.

Axeman - okay, got it. Great to hear that the upper speakers to not touch the Z-5 at all - do you have the upper REV10s mounted to the first bar on the tower (bar that is closest to the bow of the boat)? in an effort to keep the speakers more "in-line" with the bottom two speakers that are mounted on the side brackets, putting the upper speakers on the first bar would make sense. When you say "tilt movement", does this refer to the movement of the Z-5 when you disconnect two of the pins and are trying to swing it? For me, this would not be an issue because I plan to just take the Z-5 all the way off the tower when I go to store it back in the garage.

Thank you for the pics and for the help.

                              Andrew,

Yes, the top speakers are mounted onto the first bar on the tower (closest to the bow). I would imagine they wouldn't fit on the second bar since that is where the Z-5 attaches to the tower. Yes, that is what I mean by tilt movement. Normally, people tilt/swing it to put boards up there. By the way, I'm glad I got the Z-5. It provides so much more coverage than the standard bimini top!

                                Axeman,

Awesome - great info here. I'm going to share this info/pics with my stereo guys and have them replicate your set-up on my SMURF Mobile....thank you for sharing. Okay, that makes sense why you would tilt/swing the Z-5....do you think a 5'2" Surfboard will store up there no problem? I've been using a sleeping bag in the bow of the boat to store my board previously (yes, I am "that guy") and I'm excited at the thought of getting the surf board up and out of the way. Agreed...Z-5 is money when it comes to sun coverage....I love everything about the Z-5 so far (this is my first one).
