I was able to build it the way I wanted. More ballast, quicker fill and empty in the '96SS than the '02SAN, better tower speakers, new GPS PP holds the speed better especially around turns. I also like the over the tower bimini giving you more headroom. I never did like the pylon behind the rear seat on the '02. The SS has a heater which my SAN did not.

did you plumb any ballast in the space under the bow? I was thinking of getting one of the triangle bow bags and seeing how much weight it could make under the floor to keep the bow open. right now i fill 2 300lb bags and on top of the floor in the bow.1996 Super Sport

I have 3 sandbags & one lead bar in the bow, not sure what the total weight is. The ski locker sac is the longest I could find, it also goes to the top of the locker when filled(plastic cap on latch screw to prevent puncture of sac). This balances it out well and gives the wake a great shape. It all depends on how much you have in the center & rear, check out the sacs on this link-http://javedmostafa.info/equipment/fatsacs/index_products.html#, hope that helps you out.

Your boat looks great! Just curious but is that a real FCT or an NDT? Either way it looks really good, I love white towers.
Did you use the stainless steal/sano step pads? If so can you take a few pics when you get your boat ready in the spring as I just bought a set from White Lakes the other day to add to my 99. Did you screw them in or did you use adhesive instead?
I also noticed you switched out the plastic through hull for the cooler drain to a stainless steel one. Replacing the plastic through hulls to stainless was one of the first upgrades I made to my boat when I got it. I kept seeing the cooler drain in my rear view mirror as I was bringing her home from SC and I knew I had to change them out ASAP.Shawn

It is an NDT, I don't think FTC made one for the '96 as they have cup holders in front of the windshield which changes the dimensions of the tower. I had to put in aluminum mounting plates(supplied by NDT) inside the hull at the front feet of the tower and fiberglass them in for reinforcement.
The step pads are stainless steal and rubber with Nautique on them. I screwed them down, that is how I saw them installed on the SAN's.
I did replace the cooler drain with SS, but changed it to the center ballast overflow/breather and plugged the cooler drain hole. Also added port and starboard SS overflow/breather and changed out the bilge with SS. The pumps are reversable so they dump out underneath where they fill. SS cup holders were a great improvement also as the old plastic one would fly out when trailering if not removed in front of the windshield, for those I had to open up the holes a bit so they would fit.
I will post more pictures in Spring.
