I think the interior side panels are called gun whale or coaming panels. Anyway, the studs that are installed in those panels. Does anyone know what they are? They are square looking at them from behind. i don't know what the other side looks like because it's under the upholstery. Im curious what they are and how they are secured in place?

I believe they are generally called Christmas tree fasteners. My panels have something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Rexka-30pcs-D...85&sr=8-5&th=1

Mine are actual metal studs attached to the panel that goes through holes on teh side of the boat with fender washers and a nut on the back side. I think the plastic fasteners came later.

Traditionally, they are called "Gunwale". The word "gunwale" is pronounced gunnel (rhyming with funnel). So, the word "gunnel" is often accepted as an alternate spelling.

Thank you Spud! I take it that square curved piece is threaded and bites into the plastic when tightened? Mine are nearly flush with the backside. Any idea what they are called so I could search for them?

Unfortunately we have had no luck finding anyone that can identify or sell us anything like these.
You are correct the " square washer is threaded " and bites into the substrate as the fastener is tightend.
I have searched for months with no luck, Nautique parts was also unable to help despite their continued efforts to source them for me!

Knowing Correct Craft during that era they probably made them in house.Originally posted by Spud View PostUnfortunately we have had no luck finding anyone that can identify or sell us anything like these.
