Here's a picture of mine from the weekend. That blob on the starboard side of the swim platform is actually a surfer. Not that you'd ever be able to tell. And yes, it looks the same if the surfer is directly behind the platform as well.

Yeah, that definitely seems worse than mine. You might not be able to tell from the photos I took, but when my surfer is on the platform I can see them. And their face.

I have the same problem. I've had 2 G23's (prior gen) and cameras were decent. I owned a 2025 supra for 2 years and both cameras were 8/10. Just bought a new G25 and the camera is terrible. Completely useless. I never thought to look and see if there was a cover over the lens but will check tomorrow. If not improved I may try to buy a part for a prior gen G and see if I can change it out myself. I wonder if a 3rd party camera would be an even bigger improvement?
This is replacement camera. May be worth playing around with...

I have a '25 G23 and the camera is very disappointing. I had a '14 G23 that I spec'd and ordered the awareness camera. It came with a handheld unit that had a tiny screen on it with an SD slot and some controls, and plugged into the driver's dash glovebox. When I got it, I was sure there was a screen protector or film covering the lens since the image was terrible and the videos it recorded to the SD were totally unusable. I totally regretted the option immediately when I found that there was nothing covering the lens or affecting the image. I'd heard the newer G's had great clarity and resolution, so I was psyched to have it in the new boat. Insert buzzer noise of your choice here, because it's absolutely terrible. Sure, you can see where the rider is in relation to your swim deck, but that's about all it's good for. I have old VHS tapes that have a clearer image. Love Love Love the '25 G, this camera isn't even close to the quality of the boat. 1 of 5 stars
