Can water be trapped in 1994 Ski Nautique?

The boat leans noticeably to the right while sitting in the water. Not sure what a cross-section diagram of the construction looks like. Is it possible to have water trapped inside the hull somewhere? And if so, how to get it out. It takes about 150# on the opposite side to get it level. Thanks! Len

If you look at the top of the page, in red lettering click on manuals/brochures.

scroll down and look at the 1993 model year. Per the brochures 93 was the first year of the integrated composite stringer, there is a cross section your asking for as well as a picture in the mold.

Between the screws in the stringers, the unsealed drain holes, whatever a previous owner did or had done to it, or how it was cared for,
and how the floor was installed glassed and foamed then yes sadly any boat can hold water.

theres only 1 way to get it out and it is not pretty.

Edit in ; I ike the integrated composte stringer system, it's a good idea with tons of adjustability if you wanted, for example: 1 hull mold, 2 deck molds, a dual console bow rider and a center console. The stringers would be the same but the bulkheads might have to be in different locations due to tanks, engine configuration, etc.

what i dont like is the foam specally below the waterline.

OK, I see the diagram. You mention drain holes.....where would I find them and are they accessible? The diagram just isn't that detailed. BTW, I am the original owner and have had no work done.

You'll have to look around the bilge for drains. I'll search for some pics of a 94 thats opened up

So real quick search, this is an 01 but looking at it and the picture in the brochure, pretty sure your exhaust is in seperate cavities like the 01 and they drain into the bilge.
you can see a drain in the lower right corner of the attached pic.

That picture is not an '01. That is a Ski Nautique 2001 model, looks like 1987 - 1989 to me.

How much is the actual list? Did it develop over the years or did you just notice it? It is noted on the factory water test on my '95's build sheets that it had a 1/2" list from new

So it lists about 2" or so. I want to say it developed over years maybe, but really noticed it this year. I use a barefoot boom on that side, and do leave it on sometimes, but I can not image that causing a list when it is not attached.

Thanks for all the suggestions so far. Going to see if I can get a view of the drain hole.

Also, I did note a few stress cracks in the Gelcoat on that particular side, but nothing in the fiberglass....

I'm just finishing up my 83 2001 SN and when I took the foam out under the floor some of the chunks were over 30lbs saturated with water. In front under the battery boxes there was standing water.
I'll try and post some pics

If the PO put any holes in floor around stringers without sealing; you will have a leak. This boat was in a Hurricane and sat under a torn down building full of water so it was pretty much a total remove /replace, which I did. I should say I had a boat builder replace the floor for me.

You can take a drill on the side that is listing and go to bottom of stringer and see if water comes out.

Sure you know this really seal it up good with 3M 5200 or reglas. My boat builder friend showed pictures of a boat that when he drilled a 3/4 inch hole water actually flowed out of the hole.
Mine wasn't that bad just saturated foam. I stuck a wooden dowel down and it came out wet.
Any other questions feel free to ask.
                            I'm also just finishing up a 79..

I think I be very careful using pictures of a boat that has nothing in common with mine other than the name before randomly drilling holes Here is a picture of a composite boat around your vintage. Looking from front around the dash area along side the starboard side showing double floor, foam and aluminum reinforcing plate
