I've been working on restoration of this 2000 SAN python 502 this spring and finally had it out on the lake last week.. Made it great for 4 days and then on the morning of the 5th day, it started and then died and haven't been able to get it to fire since. Here is what I've checked..

    1. With the start button pressed I can hear the fuel pump wind up.
    2. Fuel pressure is 42 psi at the fuel control cell and 43 psi at the injector rail
    3. Compression is good
    4. Tank has fuel..
    5. Checked spark and it's also good.

Any thoughts? I've gotten conflicting info on the fuel pressure.. I've found that 55 psi is normal and also found 40 psi is normal? Could it be the fuel pump?

    Thank you in advance!!

What happens when you apply power directly to the starter?

For what it's worth, this is a great tool to have. It has a rocker switch on the body that allows you to apply power. You can bump the starter with one:

I will try both suggestions.. the lanyard was apparently disabled by the previous owner. I have the wiring diagram and going to check that this evening.

        Thanks!

Update: Checked spark, safety lanyard, fuel.. etc.. Found that the hose clamp was loose and fuel line at the gas tank was coming loose. Tightened that up and then drained the Fuel control cell. Started up and has ran last few weekends no problem. My diagnosis is that the loose clamp/fuel line was introducing air into the fuel system and not allowing the boat to start.
