    Aerator Fill Pump not pumping

I just replaced this fill pump on my belly tank. The remote valve is open and the manual valve is open. The pump is spinning hard, I can feel the vibration. It is brand new. It won't fill the tank though. Is it possible I got the polarity reversed on the wires and the pump is spinning backwards? I can't think of anything else wrong....

Did you prime it by driving slow?

There is always a possibility of getting it wired backwards if you had to wire the plug yourself. But most likely it's because the aerator pumps have to be primed, drive forward and backwards to help prime it.

Yes. I've definitely driven around to prime it and it seems the only thing filling the tank is the force of water going in there when the remote valve is open.

Looks like it is priming issue even though I've idled the boat around trying to fill. Pulled the pump, checked wiring and checked valves and obstructions and all seems good other than it takes forever and doesn't even get full
