So I put my old 1579 prop back on for this past weekend. I was going to a different lake (Wakefest) and didn't want to take the chance of dinging it up being in unknown water. I also knew that I wouldn't be wakeboarding much at all. So yesterday, I went out to ride with my 1579 still installed. Wow. Night and day difference. It was frustrating to drive after being used to the power of the 1235.

So I have a small adhesive backed plate that I plan to apply before riding again. My only concern is that the adhesive won't be able to take the turbulence in that area and will get pulled off. I'm gonna try it out though, as the plate is very thin, only about .015, and hopefully if it does get pulled off, it won't damage anything. If the adhesive doesn't hold, then I will probably end up having to do something more radical like Jason suggests and screw it on. I may try to put some 5200 marine adhesive on it instead of the standard adhesive backing that is on the plate now.

    More to follow.
