    Short dry run

After a great ski day, we trailered the boat out of the water. My buddy sitting in the driver's seat had a brain fart and left the motor running while I pulled it up the ramp. When I stopped, I heard the motor and shouted for him to turn it off. He did. Total time, probably 30-45 seconds, engine temp was still around 175. Any damage likely?

The boat now has 20 hours, so I'm taking it in for an oil change and some minor warranty work. I'll ask them to look at the impeller. Anything else I should have them check?

...................unlikely to cause damage but I would proabably change the impellar because if the impellar got hot and it breaks down prematurely it could be costly to other parts of your engine down the road. Your boat is so new you want to protect the investment. Beyond a possibly worn impellar there should be no damage.

The impeller could be OK, or not. The problem is if it is bad, or slightly damaged, it could possibly fail when you are away from the dock, nowhere near your trailer.
This could be anything from a minor inconvenience, to a major safety issue, for example you need to get off the water in a hurry because of a thunderstorm.
Get it changed when you take the boat in for service.
