Not likely that boat has been in the Sun for a "long while." If the boat had been out in the Flagstaff Sun, not to mention the snow in the winters, for a "long time" that upholstery and dash would be split everywhere.

Assuming it runs well, I think the guy who bought this is going to find he got a pretty good deal. Even if he completely replaces the upholstery, he'll still be into it at a good price.

That would be news to me. The key word is "factory" and I know of only 2 shops that can do factory skins (there may be a few more). The prices I was quoted for a full interior on a similar boat were well over $2k, and that did not include foam or install.

you would be lucky to get just the skins for 2k. then you would have to pay to have the boat taken apart redone and reassy. if he could get out the door for 3500 he would be lucky. but its a good deal on the boat so hes got room. hope it all works out for you wetfeetmi. lets see some interior shots.

                      www.NautiqueSkins.com

Call these folks. They do the skins per factory patterns on the older boats. Even includes the CC embroidery.

They quoted me $1850 for skins on a 1999 Ski Nautique.

For which skins? Surely that price cant include all of them, can it?

Regardless, install + any foam will run an additional $1k.

Their skin kits are just that skins. If the vinyl from the factory had the sewn on foam, that would include it, but nott he large bulk foam that makes up the seat structure. I had them quote me a kit for my 98 SS and they were alot chaper than any local shop. Plus they have all the CC patterns. I will using them for my interior in the near future.

Maybe you should have left out the word "done" then if it's just them shipping you vinyl.

I'd be a little hesitant buying a boat from a car dealer, but that is a good deal it's gotta be worth it.
