RE: NEW TOYOTA TUNDRA TO TOW MY SANTE 210
I put down money on one earlier this year but opted to wait until some issues have been worked out. Had a blast driving it and you can't do much better when it comes to hauling. How 'bout a little reverse action...

RE: NEW TOYOTA TUNDRA TO TOW MY SANTE 210
I purchased a 2007 Tundra Dbl cab in blue metallic and this thing halls butt it tows my boat with ease i have not found a negative yet.
I have been a Chevy guy all my life having 3 Silverado Z71 4x4 pickups but this 2004 I just got rid of I put 2 transmissions and a new front end, and when i was getting rid of it at 91,000 miles the front end was going out again and so was the power steering pump Yellow_Flash_Colorz: . My wife has 2004 4x4 Toyota 4 Runner and has no repairs to date. So I have to give them a try I have seen the issues on the came shafts and it appears its just a few so I`ll have to hope for the best.

The new Tundra's are good trucks. We own an 04 and even with the smaller 4.7L engine in it is plenty powerful enough for all that we do. Our neighbor has an 07 double cab and he loves it. Glad you purchased a reliable vehicle with plenty of power!

Its so nice to hear you peeps like the Yotas. I loved my Silverado but I was due for a change. However I have co workers who remind me that i still am buying Foreign and I am making Union workers lose their jobs in the car factory. However if my Chevy ran like a top i would have bought Chevy again.
So my thoughts are if they would have built quality I would still be in a Chevy. Don`t get me rong if I have problems with the yota I will go back to Chevy.

Mine was made in San Antonio Texas But, where does the money go, back to Japan or in our local economy?

RE: Re: RE: NEW TOYOTA TUNDRA TO TOW MY SANTE 210
I tow with an 06 double cab tundra which rocks, sometimes I forget the boat is back there. The 2007 is a great truck, but it will have those "first model year" issues like all new vehicles do. This is my 3rd toyota truck and I've never had to do anything but wear & tear maintenance (oil & air filter, brakes, exhaust, etc).
Current - 2006 Limited DC Tundra
Former - 2001 Limited AC Tundra, ~80,000 no problems
Former - 1993 SR5 Pick up, 182,000 miles when traded in, original clutch.

RE: Re: RE: NEW TOYOTA TUNDRA TO TOW MY SANTE 210
I had an '01 Tundra extrended cab with the 4.7 and really liked it. It had more than enough power to pull any wake boat and it was very reliable. I recently purchased on '07 Chevy Crew Cab, Z71 with the Duramax engine. I thought seriously about the new Tundra, but I wasn't wild about the interior and the exterior hasn't grown on me yet. There wasn't much of a difference in price between the Tundra and the Chevy and I hoped in the long run, the diesel would be the better towing rig. However the Tundras do run like a race car and it is hard to beat Toyota reliability. Not that this means anything, but I heard on the news that this was the first year that GM pick-ups out sold Toyota.
