Hopefully that's not your most trusted news source! If that were talking about small pickups (i.e. Colorado/Canyon vs. Tacoma) that would be a surprise. It's downright laughable if we're talking about full-size trucks. Hope your Silverado is treating you well!

I had the first generation Tundra and had zero problems with it. This is comforting because now I have the new Tundra DC 5.7L 4x4. I couldn't be any happier. It tows my 5000lb boat like nothing is back there.

I'm confident that my experience with Toyota's first runs has yet again given me a great truck that is sure to last a long time.

As for some reported issues, they are isolated incidents. I know may people with same truck and it runs like a dream for them too.

Did I mention the POWER this truck holds?

But remember, to each his own, when it comes to things like this.

01skinautiqueGT40, just so you know- you can create a signature so you dont have to type in every single tow vehicle and Correct Craft youve ever owned into every post you make.

By the way, whats the deal on your 2001 "25th Anniversary"? Is it an '86 Silver Nautique (25th anniversary of the '61 Ski Nautique) or is a 2001 model year Ski Nautique? It sounds like the latter. Im curious as to what 25th anniversary would have occurred in 2001.

The greatest reason that I finally switched from Chevy was that the brakes are horrible,,,, ok HORRIBLE! The pedal was always a bit spongy and the braking would glaze quickly.

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: NEW TOYOTA TUNDRA TO TOW MY SANTE 210

We traded our '02 F250 7.3 Diesel in for a '07 Toyota Tundra with the 5.7.

There is no contest, the toyota is much fatser while unhitched and while hitched to the boat.

The Ford felt a bit more stable while hitched to the trailer, but was a much rougher ride while unhitched.

Since diesel prices have been about $0.50 a gallon more than regular un;leaded recently and have not been getting under the regular unleaded price during the summer, and we always got about 15 MPG with the ford, we decided we would save money on gas by going to the toyota.

So far we have, as we are getting about 15 MPG city, and with a highway drive we can get almost 20.

Did I say, the 5.7 is **** fast?

As the wife puts it, "this is almost as fast as my old [01 mustang] cobra"

Now she just wants TRD to release the supercharger.

Over 500 HP in a 1/2 ton crewmax pickup. Can't wait!

ag4ever, do you have a 4x4 Tundra or is it two wheel drive? DANG that's good mileage for such a strong pickup!! We just scored a "new" 3/4 ton Ram and it gets abysmal gas mileage. However, we got it for so cheap we figured the money saved on the initial purchase will easily pay the fuel difference as long as we own the truck.

Is the Crewmax an extended cab or a full crew cab?

(3rd) GMC Denalli, Same 6.0 vortec as in the boat. All have been great trucks. My grandfather who is a WWII vet would be devastated if I supported a company from a country that tried to take his life. I will say the toyota is a nice truck but I would not own one.

4X4 Crewmax Limited with the 5.7 engine, and the crewmax is comparible to a dodge megacab with a 5.5' bed.

People at tundrasolutions.com have confirmed the 5.7 engine gets better mileage than the 4.7 does.

The 5.7 is a remarkable engine.

Either way, it can't hold a stick to the mileage I get in my camry hybrid. I have averaged 38 mpg since I got it. That includes all kinds of driving.
