Sure......... but this boat isn’t even as much of a game changer as when the original G came out, and at least they priced that one at a relative level to its actual competition. so, while you are correct about everything you said, there is another side to that coin. The other side is that the faithful G customers that want to upgrade their boat, are going to be stuck with a design that is VERY “long in the tooth” at this point. They will feel a little betrayed that Nautique didn’t feel like pushing the design forward on the current boat, and instead only gave them a choice that is a full 50% more expensive, and well above the price of all other choices.
So they are stuck with three choices-
1- buy another boat that was designed nearly a decade ago, and is no longer superior to all of its competition, and feels/looks/performs/smells/tastes just like the boat they replaced.
2- spend 100k more for a boat that should have replaced the current G23.
3- buy another brand that performs just as well, but doesn’t have an ugly telescoping tower (which is definitely kinda cool), and no flip out lawn chairs on the back (Unless they go MC)
just because the “business” can do something, doesn’t always necessarily mean they should. It is certainly likely that this boat will be just as much of a failure as Pavati and the Malibu M235 have been. If it is, they will sell 30 of them. We don’t need to further discuss if that number will be 49 or 200.

I spent a lot of time is this boat on and off the water and as Ferris once said, "It is so choice, if you have the means I highly recommend one".

ffs 265k and it doesn't come with a heater! It just feels like gouging at this point.
The boat looks amazing, the fit and finishes appear fantastic and are what I would dream for my boat. However, it's a massive turn off to see all that work put into a top of the line boat that less than 200 people will get to enjoy. Many of those small details seem like they could have been made available for the standard G series. I very much hope that in future years they are...

I still cannot believe items like Phender Pro aren’t standard on any of these new boats... and a boat like this should definitely come standard with them!!! $8000 for a couple subs and I assume 1 amp!?! $8070.00 for the wake sub option? Everything in that option list should be standard, even then I’m not seeing where the extra 100k in pricing came from. Seems ridiculous for sure.

The boat was pretty loaded. Full ballast and there were about fourteen of us in the boat. Considering the weight that engine was pushing, I think it formed up quickly. People weight was a little biased toward port, but nobody switched seats. There are plenty of lakes people use that do not allow houses and people tow to them. As mentioned in the megathread about towing a G23, you should not tow a G with a regular half ton pickup. You need a substantial machine to tow them and this paragon will be near 10,000 lbs on the trailer, getting to be a dangerous amount of weight to tow around if not done properly.
Either way, i hope they offer from the factory some sort of electric over hydraulic option for the brakes. I put one aftermarket on mine and it is awesome for towing. But most importantly its SAFE.
