While you are at it, if comparing the gs22 go take a look at the supra sa, about the same price if you do a custom order in September and the wake surf wave was massive and super easy to set up with auto wake.(yes you can slalom behind it too).

Thanks for the suggestion. And actually, I've looked at the Supras as well but they just don't seem to have the refinement of a Nautique, which is the main reason I am moving away from Malibu in the first place.

The thing about the GS boats is that people at documenting the fact that its difficult to add weight. At least weight that is plumbed in and controlled by the linc system.

I am NOT using a freaking additional pump to fill additional ballast.

The 230/210 already have the additional bags. It's plug and play to essentially double your ballast total.

I still don't understand the comparison between these two boats. One does not replace the other. The GS line are crossover boats. Meant to wakeboard, wakesurf, and slalom. The 230 is not. It's mostly a wakesurf boat at a MUCH lower pricepoint than the 23-foot G23. Nobody would buy a 230 for slalom skiing.

Yeah but I want the cool features and updates on the 2017 GS22 but in order to get those I am left having to order a 2018 230. Which is very well what I might end up doing.

I also like the bow design better than the 230. Closer to a G23. I also like that it has closer to G series construction. My wife is adamant that we don't need a G23.

Anyway, it's a tough call. I just wish the 2017 230's would have received the updates instead of having to wait a year.

From a looks perspective...Not a fan of the 230 stripe / lightning bolt. Further unless custom the paint I see doesn't have any bling like some of the GS I've seen.

2018 gel scheme is completely different than the 2017, no more boomerang accent.

My 18 230 is done and in route to me. Take a look at my post on "show me your Nautique" to see the new helm and gel coat. Cheers!

The new 2018 supras fit and finish are upgraded
                    jl audio
                    power tower
                    auto wake
                    no charge led interior lighting
                    sub floor ballast
                    surf locker
led lights in side of tower
led lights on side of window
                    5 min ballast fill time

the wakeboard wake coming from pro riders on the new SL as big as the G23 and the surf wave is better for the price of a gs22. See you can have it all.

Maybe I will have another look but I am pretty set on a Nautique or MC at this point.

Congrats! Love my 2016 230, if surf/wakeboard is your main sport I have heard the 230 beats the GS series hands down everytime!
