I agree that the 230 will have better wakesurf wave, partially due to greater deadrise of the hull. If you like the 230, take advantage of the used marked. i have a 230 for sale and can work with Buxton in dfw to ship it look up Buxton and u will see there the best dealer to work with .

Just bought a gs22 a month ago and the surf wave is fantastic. I've never been able to surf so far back as I can with the gs22. Wakeboard wake is really good too and it handles like a sports car, really fun to drive. We are running stock ballasts with only 150lbs of lead in each rear corner and having surfed it with no lead as well we probably don't need it there but nice to have.

I'm left side surf, full ballasts (2250lbs) with the 150lbs lead each corner NSS 3 and NCRS 4. I weigh 209lbs . With no lead weights and only 2 other people in boat only change was NSS 4
