Wow I will have to try a higher speed vs current at 11.2 mph

When you say load it up, what set up are you running. That wave is killer. I'm not even going to comment on the riding. Wow. I just ordered a G23 and dream of surf sets like that.Originally posted by nohlan_4
Big time! load it up and NCRS 4-5 NSS 2-3 on your 2017 at 12.5mph you will see a much better wave than at 11.2. That's waaay too slow.

My setup unfortunately is different than yours because of the hull changes in 2016. Good thing for you is that less weight is needed for an awesome wave, assuming your getting a 2018. Fill all factory max and use the setting above and you'll be close to perfect for a surf style wave. If you want to play around with weight the 2016 and up hulls like balanced weight distribution. So you could probably run like 400 pounds in the bow and extra 200 in each locker and that will make your wave even larger and a tad longer. Let me know how it goes. I've surfed a lot of G's.Originally posted by jharris View Post

Sick wave! I got a 13 G this summer. How do you set your hull up? I do ride regular on the port side, if that makes a difference. So far I've done full factory + 250 lbs of lead on the port side. It's usually just the wife and three little kids on the boat...2002 SANTE

For port side I usually run it like this. Belly full, port side stock full, starboard stock 3/8, 450 pounds of lead under the bow seats as well as two 650 bags in each locker full. Then I go ncrs 3 Nss 1-2 and speed 12.1-12.3.Originally posted by mnovstel View PostSick wave! I got a 13 G this summer. How do you set your hull up? Today me at 190 lbs and using a 60 inch board , 12.5 mph was too fast and left me no push. I had to slow the boat back down to 11.2 mph to maintain my needed push .Originally posted by nohlan_4 View Post
Report back and let me know what you think of it.
I had, all stock ballasts filled, NCRS at 5, NSS 0 and 500 lbs of lead wake ( 150 lbs port front, 200lbs observer seat, 150 lbs at port bench seat area side). Only 2 people in boat which was a negative as wellLast edited by GMLIII; 09-17-2017, 04:46 PM.

seems like a pretty big board for your size.....Originally posted by GMLIII View Post

Yea 10.9 the wave is so short, no room to get speed to do anything. If you run above stock ballast then speeding up makes the wave longer with no loss of push. With just stock ballast 12.5 will be too fast on the old hull shape. Come try it out for sure, crane isn't that far from moose!!!Originally posted by Bspot View PostLooking good Nolan, quite surprised how fast your running, Im running 10.9 and feel my wave loses to much push when I speed up. But I am 6"1' 205 lbs and need that push. Might have to come out and try your wave next year.Last edited by nohlan_4; 09-18-2017, 09:20 AM.

With that big of a board and your weight I wouldn't think it would lose that much push. If you bump nss up to 2-3 like I mentioned it will help you. Try it again with more nss and I think you'll be surprised. Also the new hull likes even weight so besides 200# to counter prop rotation under the observer seat move your weight around to make it as even side to side and front to back as possible. The boat wants to be sunk evenly if that makes sense.Originally posted by GMLIII View Post
