looks sweet. Lots of styling, design and functional ques from the Gs. would love to see how that batwing shaped NSS blade affects the shape of the wave.
only critique: You gave up room in the rear lockers for those rear transom side steps? Should have brought those lockers all the way back for more storage and bigger lockers...not sure how often those side steps would be used given there is that center walkway. The way folks use wakeboats now, rear lockers should be designed around the 750-1100lb sacs. Would have been easy to do, no?2019 G23 450

and LOVE the Rhino Lined towers!!! water spots on the regular black FC towers are terrible...nothing gets them off short of wax: not hotsauce or boat candy. Anybody got any methods to remove them? that Rhino lining looks sweet.2019 G23 450

I posted this in the other thread, but it looks like this is a better place for it:
Not trying to be too hard of a hater here, but the things that I get the most compliments on (and subsequently some of my favorite aspects of my 2012 210) are gone from this new version ... the graphics, the large sundeck, and the seating setup?!?!?
-I think the seating took a HUGE step backwards . . . I MIGHT understand getting rid of the reversible seat in lieu of the transom walk-thru (I don't ... that was a bad decision, it doesn't look like there was a reason you couldn't have both other than they went with more of a G or 230 engine hatch) But why would you take away the pop up observer seat?!?!? So ... somehow potential 2014 210 owners lost the ability for 6 ppl to comfortably watch the action behind the boat, so that people can get in and out easier? If you want it to be a true walk thru you have to find a place to store that insert cushion ... "Hold on, can you please hop up so I can get the insert cushion out to make this back into a seat now that everyone has made it in without stepping on any vinyl?", AND they have to find a place to store a "removable lean back" if they want the full bench
-The graphics remind me of a lesser manufacturers design package. EVERYONE loves my "Eagle." I get a huge kick out of people yelling about that across the water. I think they phoned this in . . . (copyright for my quick photoshop remains with whomever owns it)
-A few more observations: I didn't see an insert to make that back deck a full sun pad . . . I hope they have it, but even on the g's and the 230's I rarely see anyone use the insert, that's one of my favorite lounge spots that seems to now be extinct, no one likes to snuggle 4 feet away from your lady on the other pad. I don't know if it is for sure gone, but it doesn't look like there is any ski coffin now? That doesn't make sense to me ...
Lastly, "Pro" wake package? for a total of 1750?! and this is the marketing BS they put on the picture: "Pro Wake/Surf Ballast with Storage Trays - Upgrade to the optional ballast for additional weight while keeping the cockpit clutter free and increasing the exceptionally sized surf wave." Exceptionally sized SURF WAVE?!?!? when did this become a surf boat? I think Nautique is selling out its heritage on the 210 as THE wake boat. (Storage trays are legit tho . . . )
Now for the optimism to come forth:
I believe nautiqe is repositioning the 210 as the "Budget family do all boat" possibly taking place of the sport 200 (Don't get mad, just a guess) making room for a g21/22 around the beginning of Jan. 2014. In doing so I see a couple benefits:
-You can still put NSS on 2012+ 210's largely making a 12' or 13' superior to a 14' in my humble opinion (Except for blue tooth, that is a legit option) OH WAIT ... http://www.planetnautique.com/vb3/sh...ight=bluetooth If you own a 12' or 13' I think we hit the "golden age of a 210" and we are in a good position.
-I think as people have stated before, if they do reduce the cost of this new 210 and position it as less of a hard core wake boat to make room for a G of similar size, you will see the value of the real 210's stay high (Especially considering the seating layout changes) Just as the value of a 2007 210 with the engine bump is considered a less valuable boat, you will see the good seat layout 210's value remain high. And even with an MSRP reduction on these 2014's people will still be paying low to mid $80's for a 2014 which will make my 2012 with better seating look like an awesome deal at $75k
In closing . . . I apologize if I rambled, it's early and I had a lot of thoughts. But Nautique as a brand has impressed me since I was 14, I am sure they will continue to do so and give me a reason to buy more of them, I just want my next to say "G" somewhere on itFirst and Current - 2012 210 SANTE

First thoughts...
1) The color they chose on the 210 is horrific!
2) They took the top deck from the 200V and dropped it on the 210/230. (rubrail lines)
3) Stole A LOT of styling cues from the Malibu MXZ on the hull-side.
4) No rear-facing bench not such a great idea. Seat base where one would normally put their feet for passenger not so great either.
After looking at them in more detail...
1) I could finally build an all black boat again!
2) Tower has textured powder coat. Would be easier to keep looking clean.
3) Looks like the rear ballast tanks sit along the outside hull from bottom to top, then add sacs to the empty compartment. So what is the tank weight? Looks like 1700 is with the optional sacs.
4) Looks like the 210 carries less fuel than my 2003 210. Might make for some short trips with the 450 option and sacked out.
5) I hope there is a sun-pad option for the walk-thru. The ladies on my boat like to catch the sun... I like letting them!
Overall, I like some of the changes. Will be interested to see pricing and how it settles in the line-up knowing a G21/22 is on the way. I'm disappointed the build tool has not been updated yet. I feel the 2012-13 models will be the sought after years kind of like 2003 is for people looking for "Legacy" hulls. In the long run, my old 2003 210 is doing just fine!Jason

Two things I like about my 2008 210 v. most other 21 footers: the reversible seat and a sun deck just large enough to comfortable fit two lounging.
For wakeboarding, which is +/- 80% of the use my boat sees, the seat is a huge plus: it makes it easy to balance the boat side-side and it makes it comfortable for everyone to watch the rider.
For family time, the undivided sun pad is key. An insert will help, but if CC is going to mess up the sun pad, it should have made it shorter front - to - back and put the extra room in the cockpit as MB does (...I find the MB deck too small for two but at least it comes with the big benefit of a larger cockpit area...). For CC to do this, I'm guessing it must get feedback that people like the walk-thru (?). Personally, I don't see a big benefit to a walk thru on the sun pad.Previous boats:

If they are going to come out with a G21 they will need a way to differentiate the new G from the 210, what better way than graphics and interior design? If you are looking for a 21' boat and the 210 had basically the same interior layout and exterior graphics as the G, why would you buy the more expensive G?
The great thing about us is that we all have our needs and opinions and no one boat will make everyone happy. My opinion - the exterior stripe is almost too retro, although it may look better in other colors; The new color options are good; Lack of rear facing seat, not so good; Walk through transom is huge in my opinion - I have wondered why it has taken them so long to do this; and finally, if they can knock $5,000 of the price - that makes me very, very happy! And if I want a new 21' boat with a rear facing seat and some cool graphics I will just have to wait until next year for the G (maybe?? hopefully..)
