and i know its not the same ocean going vessel in terms of girth, but i load the old 210 to the gills and go anywhere between 23 and 24.5 depending on how im feeling. at 23.5-.7, its perfect. im sure its not the same size as the cruise liner, but going slower with tons of weight and still getting a clean wake is possible, with old technology... and i get about 4-5 gph. no telling how much this thing is going to chew thru, tho i guess when you buy a 100k+, gas money aint that bigga deal to ya. still, 65 gallons at $4+...... something to think about

Difference is you do not have to have the 409 to push a 230 with factory ballast, and even added ballast for most users, a re-prop works just as well. Buxton only orders in stock 230s with the 409. I am going to go out on a limb and say that AT LEAST the 409 will be required to push the 5,400 dry weight plus the 2,800 factory ballast on the G23. Also, a lot of 230s do not sell for MSRP. The G23 will sell at that for quite a while. There were a few people lining up to write deposit checks that I witnessed on Saturday.

You don't have to go with the Design Package.

Adding the 409, filler cushions, and logo carpet applies to the 230 same as the G23. It's not like those options come standard on the 230 Team.

I spoke to the one of the engineers at the launch and the wake is really clean at 20 MPH. The riders said even fully loaded you can run down to 23.5 with no problem. If you can slow the boat down that far and ride a huge wake that is awesome.

Crad I agree. I have never 'grown' into the newer towers. I know they are great for those that have to trailer or lower into a garage or under a bridge, but I just am not a fan. (imo) I don't think it's that big of a deal to lower my Titan if I have to. Maybe if I had to do it every day - I'd think different. I wish you could get different towers...
The base mount of the new tower is huge! It must come up from the gunnel about 18" and be about 2' long...

Two things. I hope they keep the 230, as that is what I will get next. 2. Love the new boat, but the tower is going to have to grow on me. the tubes look smaller they normal. I would like to see some beefer...
