awesome looking and functioning tower
I LOVE the FCT-5! This is one incredible looking tower that functions and folds so much better than the FCT-3. For those of you that haven't seen the tower in person should hold all of their negative, whiny comments to themselves. It's all in the details folks. I have seen a few FCT-5's up close and got the chance to use one of them. It has 2 different fold setting blocks (bridge and garage) so that you can control the tower fold height. Fold it to bridge setting so you can still drive but make it under a bridge or fold it to garage setting to get it into the ridiculously low 7' foot garage you own. It also has super easy to use quick release board racks. Yes, you can keep them on the tower to fold but again, if you own a 7 foot garage just pop them off. They also have a new swivel that is super compact and really easy to use. This tower still has spinning speakers like the FCT-3 (amazing system). The new speakers on top are far from cheap whoever said that in a previous reply. The housing is completely aluminum compared to the flaky, chrome plated plastic speakers that Titan is infamous for.. All of these accessories fold to below 7 feet with the tower. I even hear that there is going to be a bimini option as well that will fold and store on the tower and still be able to lower the tower to below 7 feet. Any other companies offering color options to match your boat???? I think not!! Long live CC/Roswell and their trend setting, envelope pushing ways!!Last edited by wil10; 08-05-2010, 01:39 PM.

The FCT -5 looks ok to me, can't tell much difference from the 4. I hate the look of those square speakers. When is Cc going to offer a wetsounds package.

all i can say is aluminum speaker cans suck in so many ways. the biggest is that they are the worst material to clean. some color matched wet sounds cans would look much nicer and sound ALOT better. the tower itself is growing on me the more i see it, but it's still odd.

agree probably have to see in person to really judge. But not gonna lie looks weird so far +1 on the wetsounds it should be a given to put a good speaker on boats that cost as much as they do. Whatever there msrp is lol wrong post my bad2006 210 SAN! TE

You know, the monochromatic (think AMG Mercedes) look was cool........in the 80's! The green reminds me of baby poop, the blue looks like someone grabbed the Rustoleum can and had at it. Blechhhhh Now they just need to color match the trailer wheels to finish it off'97 SN 176 GT40

I have no problem with CC bringing in the new tower - if you like it buy it. But CC should have kept other tower options if they wish to capture more of the market. Its all about options. They have given someone with a 7' garage the option they didn't have before - which is great - but they have removed my option of an FCT3 which is not so great.
When spending 80k on a boat we both should get what we want.
I ordered a 2011 210 in early May with the FCT3. Was told in late June the tower had a "slight change" to reduce height. When I saw the first pic (on Planet Nautique) I couldn't believe it.
What makes it worse is that I took advantage of the PN group buy and ordered two Pro 485's and accessories. And from Chattwakes comments it doesn't look like they will fit with the Z5.
In summary, I had a dream to pick my perfect boat and chose Nautique.
Reason - I could decide exactly what I wanted and mould my perfect boat - l also loved the look of the 210 with the FCT3/Z5/485's.
Conclusion - My 2011 210 with FCT5 arrives in three weeks and I'm trying to stay positive!
CC really needs to work on marketing and customer service. Why do CC start 2011 production in June and only release info in September? By ordering in May as well as paying 85% up front I feel I deserved to know my boat would not have the FCT3. I realise my dealer is restricted on the info that is released to him, I don't expect pictures but my question is:
Should dealers be selling 2011 models without knowing the changes? And in my case, there was never even a mention of changes.

Sorry if this has been addressed, but what tower options are going to be available next year? Specifically for the 230 and the 210.

They had to have done this for a reason, but I am having a lot of trouble with this tower. To put something like that on something as beatiful as a Super Air Nautique 230 is like, anathema to me. I know that's strong wording from a huge Correct Craft fan, but Correct Craft and MasterCraft really did some odd stuff for 2011.
I have to believe that is designed that way for a reason - everyone is moving the attach points on towers, aft, moreso year by year. But couldn't they have achieved that some other way?
