This has been discussed previously on this board, go look and decide for yourself. *shrug*

most people don't get the zr-6. i've had sales guys even try talking me out of it so they could get rid of one they had on site on more than one occasion. they supply any pro's boat with it. once you hit 22.5' you need to move up

different shaped hulls make different shaped holes in the water. cant compare a bu to an cc, its not apples to apples. additionally, i am not sure of your metric on how much throttle you are applying, but the zr6 is a digital throttle control and cant be compared to an 03 bu, which has a throttle cable.

so your assertion is that CC would intentionally underpower an $80k+ boat that is rated for 14 people and 2200 lbs of capacity? if it didnt work, they wouldnt risk their high end rep by offering it.

if you financed for 180 months, w/ a state sales tax of 6.25% and an interest rate of 6%, it is a difference of $35.86 per month payment or $663.48 annually. another way to look at is $4000/$4 per gallon is 1000 gallons of fuel. if you use 35 gallons per outing that is 28.5 trips paid for because you didnt get the Zr6.

of course they have a higher resell, people spent more money on them. if they paid $4k for the Zr6, and the resell is $2k higher, they are automatically losing $2k of value.

all of the dealers in my area swear by the 5.7l blocks. they claim that the tq curves on the 6.0l and 6.2l engines are dang near identical to the 5.7s all the way to 3500 rpm, so you dont get any advantage out of the bigger engines at wakeboarding speed. if you are barefooting or doing a lot of slaloming, then you might need that extra top end...
