I know some of you have built a sub box as a replacement seat in your SAN. I'm doing the same thing. I'm ready to carpet it, but not sure of the best place to get the carpet. I've called my dealer, and they won't know price until tuesday.

Any suggestions on other places to go?

try Home Depot/ Lowes. I got carpet for a sub box in my old boat there.

Dealer prices on Correct Craft carpet can be pretty high. When I built mine, I got the carpet at Lowes, and it matches perfectly.

This may sound dumb... but indoor/outdoor carpet?

Lowes actually sells marine carpet. I used to to redo my trailer bunks. When you go back to the carpet section it will be labeled as marine.

Yeah, that's what I used, and it is holding up fine.

Gracias for the advice... Think the dealer would have charged me double for the amount i bought from lowes... Picked some up yesterday.

I am currently debating mounting my amp to the inside hull and the sub in a separate box close to the amp. Can you provide pictures of your installation, it sounds appealing. I am nervous to mount the amp on the hull because of the screw length going all the way through and the weight of the amp seems like the screws wouldn't be strong enough.

I ordered Nautique carpet from my dealer yesterday, it's already in today. I got 6' X 3' for about $15.00
