Malibu Site Poll

I occasionally check out the other watersports boat boards, and I came across this today on the Malibu site. I find it interesting that so many who own Malibu boats would rather own a Correct Craft (and they admit it on the Malibu site).

I am not in any way trying to imply that Malibu makes bad boats. I just find it interesting that so many of their owners would rather be in a Correct Craft.

I happen to be one of the 32 who'd opt for the CC. It's quite interesting to read the CC comments on MBO - the main beef with CC's is the price. The list of issues is long with other boat builders.

I would have bought 2 CC's so far (99 SNOB and 01 Sport Nautique) had the local dealer been willing to put together a realistic deal. They had just picked up CC in 99 and they actually believed the CC rep who told them that you could sell boats at or near MSRP. After a few years of slow sales, they've realized that making a "reasonable" margin is a great way to sell boats. Can't wait to order a 216...

Edwin, I guess your talking about Extreme? I have noticed that also. I've never been in the market for a new boat, but I've delt with them from the beginning with differnt things. They've always been really nice, but somewhat difficult to deal with on certain issues. Back then they really seemed disappointed with their sales, now they seem to be selling all the boats they can get, and have really treated me great with service, boards, skiies and accessories. I guess the learning curve in becoming a new dealer is pretty steep. The Extreme guys rule and I'd recomend them to anyone.

siuski - yep, Extreme is the one. They're all great folks there, as real as you can get.
