    2018 Boatmate for GS20 not recognized by integrated controller

    Has anyone had an error with factory integrated brake controller? Using a 2014 Ram 3500. Display shows “no trailer connected”. Brakes not working. Tried other trailer and it worked fine. Any common issues?

      Does your boatmate trailer have electric brakes? I would think for a GS20 it wouldn't. It most likely has surge brakes and isn't controlled by the electronic trailer brake controller, therefore no indication of a trailer connected. As long as your lights work it's normal.

          Boy do I feel like an a$$. It never occurred to me that it wouldn’t have elec brakes. Ugh. Quarantine is rotting my brain. Thx
