    Light bar on tower

Have any of you attached a light bar to a tower? I'm in the process of buying a 2017 230, and would like a light bar to function as a docking light.

Any recommendations? How best to attach to the tower?

Any particular reason you don't want to just have the factory docking lights installed?

Not sure which bimini you are getting. That will dictate where and how you can mount. I have a Z5 so I was able to mount above. One forward and one rear for night surfing. Rocker switches on the dash.

Can you really legally surf at night in Florida? We most certainly cannot in NC....

I have two of the Roswell C2 light bars, and they are great! I love these lights. We surf with them from time to time, and they work just fine for that.

They simply look too weak. I assumed a light bar would give me a lot more visibility.

How do yours work? I'd rather have the cleaner install of the factory lights if they're bright enough...

I don't have a photo of them on, but they work just fine. Keep in mind that they're docking lights. They will not "light up the lake" when you're driving around at night which some people seem to believe.

I turn them on when I'm 30 or so feet from the dock and I have all the light I need, right where I need it and without bugs swarming around the tower. They're plenty bright, especially since Nautique went with all LEDs.

Yeah, even on my 06 with factory docking lights, after I changed the bulbs to LEDs I have plenty of light to dock without too much glare off the water and bugs swarming into the interior before I get it covered. In my experience big tower lights and the Rigid-type LED bars attract too make bugs that make their way on my interior before I can get the cover on.

Yep. That's been my experience with pretty much any lights on the tower. They sound like a great idea on paper but then they never really get used.

I am interested in replacing my docking lights on my 2004 SV211. Where did you get LED replacements for them?

I know for sure this can be done because one of my buddies did it on his SV-211. He got them from Amazon. I think all you need to do is pull one out of your boat and figure out what kind of mount/connection it is. From there, you can order a direct fit replacement, LED instead of incandescent.

                              Hey Jeff!
                              I’ve ordered a C4 light bar for my 2017 210. Since they don’t produce the C2 anymore..
just wondering if yours are plugged in the speakers prewired ?
i have the same setup as you a pair of Neptune 8.0 so maybe I can plug my bar with one of the 2 prewired knob in the tower!
it seems a good idea to light them up with the speakers led ring.
                              thanks
