Ok, lets hear the recommendations for brightest/most durable/bang for your buck, blue underwater LED's. I have had Shadowcaster SCM 10's (2) mounted in a custom bar in the past that lasted probably 5 years and were still working when I sold the boat.... The boat I have now has (2) hull mounted Ocean LED Amphibian classic A12's, (blue) of which one just bit the dust... about 2 years old if that, from what I can tell. (and they don't make that light anymore... I really don't want to spend $600 or even $500 per light... I would probably make a new custom light bar that mounts to my platform brackets and install the lights in that... Thanks for any input!

I just bought the underwater 3,000 lumens from boatpluglight.com and is amazing for $160 if I recall. It seriously took me about 20 min to tap into my lights and screw it on the back. This is in medium murky water too at Lake Eufaula, OK.

yah that's white and crap didn't think about where your plug would be. All my past boats (Malibu/mastercrafts) have been underneath like yours.

Lol, maybe it would make a nice faint little glow around the edge though... Our lake is pretty clear...Originally posted by hawaiianstiln View Postyah that's white and crap didn't think about where your plug would be. All my past boats (Malibu/mastercrafts) have been underneath like yours.

Shag, might be overkill but if you like the drain plug lights you could add a transom drain plug and then the light. Just an idea.

While the drain plug lights are relatively inexpensive and easy to install I don't think I'd ever trust one. If it ever was hit by anything enough to break it off you have a good chance of sinking the boat. They hang of the transom enough to make me worry just enough making it not worth the risk. Just my $0.02...Jason
