I need some wetsounds 420 help!

alright I just brought my boat out of storage finally had it out once everything was working good. Including stereo, then it sat for about a week and it has rained alot here. Now I have no sounds coming out of my speakers. Any of them. So I checked made sure things were still plugged in. Then I decided to bypass the WS420 and go straight deck to amp and then it would work. Now, I pull the fuse out of the WS420 and it is blown, I can't tell how big it is but it looked like a 1A fuse. So I change it fuse didn't blow but there was a funny noise and still nothing unless I bypass the WS420. The lights are all on still. Is this thing shot??? its brand new! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Simple to test. Plug the Ipod directly into the amp via a headphone to RCA cable. Then plug it into the aux in to the 420. You can even plug headphones into the RCA's that feed the 420 and listen to the audio signal. This should allow you to isolate the issue. Or, you can just send the 420 to wetsounds and have them check it out.

        apexrig1,

Look over the circuit board for any white residue that is a remnant of minerals or corrosion as a result of exposure to water... Especially in the rear interior corners.

Bath the board in tuner wash and lightly clean it with a very soft brissel toothbrush. It may come back to life.

Silicon seal the rear grommet, inside and outside, where the wires pass through.

Re-mount the EQ in a more protected location.

Contact us about an EQ cover for the face.
